NXT TakerOver Orlando results and review




SAnitY vs Roderick Strong, Tye Dillinger and Ruby Riot
(No Way Jose was attacked by SAnitY and cannot compete)

Dillinger makes his way to the ring to a huge ovation from the crowd. Tye is the man who has taken the brunt of SAnitY's attack and now is looking for retribution. Kassius Ohno joins Dillinger's team as the fourth member. We now have a brawl in the ring. Nikki Cross and Riot start the match and Cross has control. Ruby counters, which leads to Nikki tagging in Alexander Wolfe. Ohno and Wolfe are now legal in the match as Ohno gets a one count on Wolfe. Kassius Ohno is now being controlled by Wolfe. Strong comes in and sends Wolfe into Dain. Roderick is building momentum, which was halted by Dain, who now has control over Strong. Dain uses his athleticism to take down Strong. He then takes in Eric Young who continues to apply the pressure to Strong. Killian Dain and Wolfe are now double teaming Strong. Young and Dillinger now face off before Tye goes back into his corner.
Strong tries to fight back but Eric Young stops him. Strong makes the tag to Dillinger who now has control and connects with a DDT to Wolfe. Dillinger gets a cross body on Wolfe as Ohno tries to take out the rest of SAnitY on the outside. Back in the ring, Riot and Cross are throwing strikes at each other. Dillinger is now raining down strikes on Young in the corner. Ohno was building momentum, which was stopped by Eric Young. Dillinger takes out Young but is now in the ring with Dain. Cross tries to take out Ruby but is dumped outside the ring. Riot hits a dropkick on the outside. Killian Dain drives Dillinger down on the mat for the win.
Winners: SAnitY

--> great and funny opener, right winner at the end. Next stop: Dillinger vs Young in some singles matches. 8 of 10 points.




Andrade Almas vs Aleister Black
Andrade makes his way to the ring with a confident look on his face. Aleister Black makes his way to the ring. We don't know much about Aleister but as mentioned on the Pre Show, this man is much different from the man once known as Tommy End. Aleister Black stares out at the crowd aa the match begins. The bell rings as both men lock up. Almas has an arm lock, which was reversed by Black. Andrade quickens the pace of the match and then shows off his confidence. Aleister Black shows off his athleticism, while Almas was waiting on the outside. Black now has a headlock on Almas and is backed into the corner. Andrade slaps Aleister and then shows his confidence. He goes for a suplex on Black, which was reversed. Almas hits a dropkick on Black and then goes for a cover, which doesn't get the three count. Black his a variation of strikes followed by a knee to Almas. Black flies off the top turnbuckle and hits a moonsalt on Almas on the outside. Back in the ring, Almas kicks Black in the head. Almas jumped off the top rope but Black countered and Almas landed on his back.

Andrade hits black with a combination of strikes and tries to put Black away. Almas gets a two count following a cover. Almas went for the DDT but connected with a german suplex, which results in a two count. Black nails Almas with boots to the head followed by Black Mass for the three count. Aleister Black is impressive in his NXT debut.
Winner: Aleister Black

--> Almas as heel is a great choice. Sadly every ppv debut is a garantied win for the new guy. Thats make the booking and the match almost worthless. 6 of 10 points.



Authors of Pain vs DIY and The Revival for the Tag Team titles
The Revival make their way to the ring with a look of confidence on their faces. They believe that they are the greatest tag team in the world and tonight, they have a chance to prove it. DIY make their way to the ring. Ciampa and Gargano are focused on regaining the titles. Aa AOP make their way to the ring, they have had a dominant reign as champions, looking absolutely unstoppable. William Regal hands the new Tag Team titles to the referee who will award them to the winners of this match. The match begins with a brawl between all three teams. Akam gets thrown into the guard rail as DIY brings out a table. Akam drives Gargano into the barricade as The Revival and DIY face off. Back in the ring, Gargano and Wilder are legal. Akam comes back in and takes out DIY. Rezar makes the tag and is legal. He is in full control of Ciampa at this juncture. Akam is back in and hammers away on Ciampa with heavy punches. The Revival hit a DDT on Akam but doesn't get the three count. Dawson looks to tag out of the match but DIY doesn't accept the tag. DIY and The Revival are now legal. On the outside, Gargano takes out AOP.

We do not have any eliminations yet as the AOP show their dominance. They used Gargano to stop Ciampa from diving on them. Rezar is legal with Gargano in the ring but Akam makes the tag. DIY are now at the mercy of AOP and we may be moments away from seeing the elimination of DIY in this match. Akam has Gargano on his shoulders but Gargano tries a sunset flip but couldn't get Akam down. Gargano tags Ciampa who takes down Akam and kicks Rezar. Ciampa somehow takes Akam down with a german suplex and knees Aka in the jaw. Ciampa gets a two count on Akam following a pin attempt. Both DIY and The Revival drive Rezar through a table. This may take AOP out of this match. Akam is at the mercy of the other two teams now. A submission hold is on Akam, which is executed by both teams. Rezar somehow gets back in and breaks up the double submission. Akam was about to tap out but Rezar made the save keeping AOP in the match. Rezar suffers two kicks simultaneously in addition to a Shatter Machine. DIY and The Revival are now fighting in the ring, before Wilder and Gargano dove through the ropes and took out AOP. Dawson hits a suplex on Ciampa from the top turnbuckle to the outside, which takes out everyone.

Rezar makes the tag and the AOP hit The Last Chapter on Ciampa, which eliminates DIY. We are down to AOP and The Revival in this match. Akam is legal and The Revival may be out. AOP hit a double powerbomb on The Revival and look to put them away. Wilder grabs Rezar and Dawson got a two count on Akam. AOP hit the Super Collider on The Revival to retain the titles.
Winners: Authors of Pain

--> match of the eventing and showstealer. Sadly DIY was the first team gone. The result that AoP keeping the titles is fine for me. 8,50 of 10 points.



Asuka vs Ember Moon for the Women's Championship 
Ember Moon makes her way to the ring and there are many people that believe she is the one to finally dethrone Asuka and become the new Women's Champion. Asuka has ruled the Women's division in NXT ever since she defeated Bayley at NXT TakOver: Dallas. If she wins this match, Asuka will be Women's Champion for a full year. As dominating as Asuka is, Ember Moon has proved that a match can end in a second with the Eclipse. The bell rings and both Women stare at each other. They lock up and Asuka backs Ember up against ropes. Ember takes down Asuka and a series of arm drags follow. Ember sends Asuka for a ride across the ring as both women refuse to back down. Asuka strikes Moon with a hip attack but Ember comes back with kicks. Asuka hits Ember with another hip attack as Ember gets back in the ring. Asuka has full control of Moon at this point. Asuka uses her lethal kicks again to take down Moon. Asuka hits a hip attack for a third time in the match as Moon is in serious trouble.

Asuka goes for the Asuka lock but Ember hits her with a forearm. Moon takes Asuka out with a cross body on the outside. Asuka now has control of Moon back in the ring. Asuka continues to wear Moon down with kicks as Asuka looks for the Asuka lock. Asuka tries to take Moon down but Moon continues to fight back in an attempt to break the hold. Ember breaks the hold and both women are down. Asuka misses the hip attack and Moon kicks Asuka in the side of her face. Moon sends Asuka for a ride and uses kicks of her own, followed by a slam. Asuka hits a german suplex, followed by a cover on Moon but she doesn't get the three count. Ember takes Asuka down and gets a two count. Ember goes to the ropes but Asuka meets her there. Moon went for the Eclipse but Asuka kicks Moon in the face to retain the title.
Winner and still champ: Asuka

--> Asuka´s heelturn looks completed now with cheating for the win. Ember will still be the next womans champion soon. 8 of 10 points for a great womans match. 



Shinsuke Nakamura vs Bobby Roode for the NXT Championship
Nakamura makes his way to the ring and he is determined to get back the NXT title. Shinsuke said that he will rise again and he has an opportunity to fulfil that promise tonight. Bobby Roode won the title in San Antonio when he took advantage of the injury to Nakamura's leg. He hopes to continue his reign tonight. William Regal hands the referee the new NXT title and we are underway. Roode goes for a kick to the knee of Nakamura and gets him in a side headlock. Nakamura backs Roode into the ropes and taunts him. Shinsuke is attempting to play mind games with Roode. Nakamura shows the dangers of his kicks early as Roode takes Nakumura down with a shoulder block. Nakamura responds with knees to the gut of Roode in the corner. Nakamura successfully executes good vibrations on Roode, which gives him the advantage. Nakamura looks for a suplex but Roode counters with a dropkick and knocks Nakamura to the outside of the ring.

Back in the ring, Roode is clearly in control of Nakamura. Roode stomps Nakamura down in the corner as he taunts to the crowd. He chops Nakamura and continues to further his advantage in this match. Roode hits a neck breaker on Nakamura, which results in a two count. Roode has the nerve hold on Shinsuke, which if applied long enough will take away the feellng of half of Nakamura's body. Bobby continues to wear Shinsuke down with the nerve hold. Roode has dissected a body part of Nakamura as Shinsuke tries to fight back. Nakamura is using his strong style moves to damage and wear Roode down. On the outside, Nakamura hits two knees to Roode. Back in the ring, Nakamura gets a two count on Roode. Bobby hits some elbows to Nakamura followed by a clothesline, which takes Nakamura down. Shinsuke hits a dropkick on Roode but Bobby comes back with a chop block to the injured knee of Shinsuke. Bobby slams Nkamura's knee into the ring post. It's clear that the knee of Shinsuke has become the focal point of Roode's attack. Bobby has the figure four leg lock in on Nakamura, which will hurt Nakamura's knees even more.

Nakamura reverses the pressure but Roode breaks the hold and goes back to the knee of Nakamura. Shinsuke tries to get the armbar in and does so. He transitions into the triangle choke. Shinsuke goes back to the arm bar but Roode gets to the rope to force a break. Nakamura goes for a knee to Roode in the turnbuckles but Roode avoided contact and Nakamura's knee smashed into the turnbuckle. Roode hits the back stabber and gets a two count after the pin attempt. Both men are face to face in this fight for the NXT title. They are exchanging strikes and Roode had the advantage but Nakamura countered. Nakamura went for the pin but coudn't hook the leg and therefore, he didn't get the pin. Roode hits the Glorious DDT but Nakamura refuses to stay down. Roode is shocked that he couldn't put Nakamura away. Roode grabs the ring bell but Nakamura kicks him in the head followed by a suplex. Roode hits a spine buster but didn't get the three count. Nakamura backs Roode into the turnbuckle but Roode takes out Nakamura's knee and hits a Glorious DDT and beats Nakamura to retain the NXT title.
Winner and still champ: Bobby Roode

--> good mainevent with the right winner. Nothing left for Nakamura in NXT so he should be on his way to WWE right now. 8 of 10 points.
