A video kicks off the show that highlights the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Brock Lesnar ran through everyone as the first entrant, tying the record for most eliminations in a single Royal Rumble with 13. Drew McIntyre then came out and eliminated Lesnar. McIntyre would go on to win the whole match.

The Raw video plays, and we’re brought into the arena with a big pyrotechnics display. Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy will defend the Raw Tag Team Championships against Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe. We will also see Andrade defend the United States Championship against Humberto Carrillo. We’ll hear from Charlotte Flair and see Edge as well.

Drew McIntyre is introduced to the crowd as the winner of the 2020 Men’s Royal Rumble and the person that will main event WrestleMania. LOUD reaction for McIntyre. The crowd chants, “You deserve it!” McIntyre says he’s convinced he’s been dreaming for the past 24 hours. It feels so good to stand before the people and say that the winner of the 2020 Royal Rumble is Drew McIntyre. Another loud reaction. That means he’s going to WrestleMania. Some of the people like to play games and draw out the decision, but that’s not his style. McIntyre is going to make an announcement and a challenge. McIntyre says, “I challenge Brock Lesnar!” The crowd erupts and starts a “YES” chant.

Most of the boys in the back are terrified of Lesnar, but he isn’t. McIntyre entered the ring and Claymore Kicked him over the top rope. McIntyre says he’ll beat Lesnar for the WWE Title at WrestleMania. McIntyre says he’s fired up and needs to get the energy out. He wants to give some Claymores out. Who has the balls to fight Drew McIntyre?

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows make their way to the ring and get inside. Anderson says he accepts the open challenge and will fight McIntyre tonight. Gallows then says he’ll fight McIntyre tonight as well. McIntyre says he’s the dream-maker. They can both fight him tonight. McIntyre orders a referee to come down to the ring.

Edge’s music hits, and the WWE Hall of Famer makes his way to the ring to a huge reception. Edge looks choked up by the response. The San Antonio crowd is absolutely coming unglued. Edge goes to speak, but he becomes overwhelmed. Edge starts to speak again, but he’s cut off by the crowd chanting his name.

Edge says as a performer, an athlete, and an artist, which encompasses the three things wrestlers are, they’ll never have any idea what the reaction means to him. This is why they do this. A “You still got it” chant thunders in the arena. Edge says, “Ya damn right I do!” The crowd loudly cheers that.

Edge addresses the elephant in the room: how is he standing here one day removed from the Royal Rumble? Nine years ago, he was medically disqualified from ever doing this again. Edge refused to like in a world of “what ifs.” Edge constantly worked to make the “what if” disappear. Over the years, he started to feel pretty good and asked himself, “What if?” What if he came back home? Edge says he got to work. A loud “Welcome home” chant fires up. Edge got a second neck surgery and busted his ass. He got in the best shape of his life at 46-years old so he could step back in here and end his career on his terms. The crowd erupts in applause.

Edge found himself in the Royal Rumble and saw some familiar faces as well as some new ones. Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Aleister Black, Matt Riddle… the list goes on and on. Hopefully he sees them down the road. Edge says he’s not fooling himself. This might not last that long. Edge hopes that everyone joins him on this ride. The crowd enthusiastically agrees and chants, “YES.” Edge smiles at the reaction. Edge says that’s his first “YES” chant. He’ll have to thank Daniel Bryan for that. Edge says he’s a little older, a little grayer with some crow’s feet, but it’s the roadmap that got him here. Edge has one thing that you can’t fabricate, fake, or force down someone’s throat. Edge says he has grit. When you knock him down, he gets back up.

Randy Orton’s music interrupts him! Orton says it’s no secret that he has a self-destructive personality. Years ago there was one guy on the road that grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the hole: Edge. Edge looks like he’s going to break down in tears. Orton says, “Welcome home, Edge. Welcome home.” Orton says Edge is a brother to him and family to him. Last night feeling that energy when the music hit and the chemistry they have… that was special. Orton heard Edge talking “What ifs.” Orton has one for him. What if Rated RKO got back together one more time? The crowd erupts and starts a thunderous “YES” chant! Orton then drops Edge with an RKO!

Orton goes to ringside and paces around. Orton grabs a steel chair and puts it in the ring. Orton sets the chair up before collapsing it and smacking Edge in the neck with it! Edge screams in pain. Orton puts his head down in the corner and thinks about what he’s done. Orton slowly turns around and picks the chair up again. Edge is clutching his neck in pain. Orton puts the chair down before sandwiching Edge’s head in the seat! Orton looks completely conflicted. Edge’s hand is twitching. Orton backs up and goes to the second rope. Orton really thinks about it. They lowered the WrestleMania sign so it’s in the background the entire time. Orton gets down from the ropes after thinking about it, not wanting to end it all for Edge. Orton takes the chair and tosses it out of the ring. Orton leaves… but then he runs to the timekeeper’s area and grabs two chairs. Orton sets Edge up and hits a one-man con-chair-to! Orton sits down next to an unconscious Edge. Orton realizes what he’s done and backs up as the show comes to an end.

Heyman says to the booing crowd, “Happy New Year to you, too, bitches.” Heyman introduces himself as the advocate of the reigning, defending, undisputed WWE Heavyweight Championship. Lesnar is all about making history. Heyman asked Lesnar who is worthy to step into the ring with the conqueror in sports entertainment history. Lesnar’s answer was… there is not one person that can or is worthy enough to share the spotlight with him. The crowd boos. Heyman says they don’t boo Brock Lesnar, which only makes them boo louder. Lesnar is about to do something unprecedented and can be legitimately advertised as “first time ever.” They said The Undertaker couldn’t be defeated at WrestleMania… but his client conquered The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania. No beast could be NCAA Heavyweight Champion, UFC Champion, WWE Heavyweight Champion, and WWE Champion… ladies and gentlemen, Brock Lesnar.

There’s a universe Brock Lesnar has not yet conquered. Do you want to see Lesnar in a dream match at the Royal Rumble? How about every single challenger that wants Lesnar at the Royal Rumble gets him? His client is entering the Royal Rumble match! He’s not just entering the match. That would kind of make history. His client is entering the Royal Rumble match first! That means if Roman Reigns is in the Royal Rumble, it’s Lesnar versus Reigns. If Seth Rollins enters, it’s Rollins vs. Lesnar. Anyone that enters the Rumble will go face-to-face with Lesnar. Although Lesnar takes the ring first, he’ll be standing victorious in the ring last! Ambitious? Yes. Unprecedented? Absolutely. Historic? You damn right. Brazen? Brock Lesnar is the beast of brazen. Brock Lesnar will conquer and win the Royal Rumble after entering first… that’s not just a prediction. That is a spoiler. Lesnar and Heyman walk off.
