Hell in a Cell 2014 predictions

Here are my predicitions for tonights ppv.

Hell in a Cell: John Cena vs. Randy Orton

Backstage word points to Cena vs. Lesnar III, but the direction of the storyline suggests that it will be Orton who walks out of that cell the victor. WWE didn't script that Orton hit Paul Heyman with an RKO just for fun. It didn't point to cracks in The Authority not to have them widen. Orton seemingly headed for a face turn ups his chances of defeating Cena. He can spend the next few months feuding with Rollins before tackling Lesnar in a matchup fans haven't seen as often as Cena vs. Lesnar.
*Randy Orton

Hell in a Cell: Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins

Ambrose has been on the hunt for Rollins since The Shield's demise in June. The Lunatic Fringe has come so close to doling out payback before, only to have Kane or Orton swing things Rollins' way.
That long of a buildup, that much focus on this story has to lead to a happy ending.

Rollins won't be hurt by the loss. He's been elevated by this narrative in a big way, has the Money in the Bank briefcase in his grip and could be in line for a feud with Orton. Ambrose, meanwhile, needs a big win here. It was Rollins who was last standing after their collisions at SummerSlam and in the Falls Count Anywhere match on Raw. It's Ambrose's turn, a hero finally wading through his many obstacles to strike back against the man who betrayed him.

This promises to be a tremendous match and one that will be key in each man's timeline. If done right, fans will always remember this Hell in a Cell pay-per-view as the night that two megastars claimed their spot on the marquee.
 *Dean Ambrose

United States Championship: Sheamus (c) vs. The Miz

Sheamus' time is running out. The Miz (or more accurately Damien Mizdow) is catching on with fans in a big way, the A-lister and stunt double shtick is one of the most entertaining elements of WWE today. Count on WWE to make the most of that, spelling the end of Sheamus' title reign.
There's a great story to tell here about Mizdow assisting Miz to victory and the latter not giving the former any credit for that. Jealousy eventually morphs into animosity, and we soon have a Miz vs. Mizdow feud on-screen. We've already seen a glimpse of that on Monday's Raw, when Mizdow pinned Sheamus and The Miz proclaimed, "I won."

Besides, Sheamus has had the gold for a while now. Per WWE.com, six of the last 10 U.S. title reigns lasted shorter than his. The average reign in that span is 121 days.  Sheamus is closing in on 175 days. History says he gives it up.
 * The Miz

Intercontinental Championship: 2-out-of-3-Falls: Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Cesaro

Is WWE really going to have seven Intercontinental Championship title changes in 2014 and four in the last three months?  That's an unlikely move, a fact that works in Ziggler's favor. He has delivered time and time again in the ring as champ. That has to have caught WWE's eye, urging the company to keep him in the spotlight.

Counting on Cesaro to win in the big spots isn't advisable either. WWE keeps allowing him to get close, only to have him watch someone else celebrate. That's what will happen at Hell in a Cell too, Cesaro losing to Ziggler two falls to one.
*Dolph Ziggler

Big Show vs. Rusev

Big Show looks to have the best chance of anybody to take down Rusev. He's already knocked him out a few times, has a distinct size advantage and will be fueled by the rage birthed by Rusev attacking an American solider. That's what WWE wants us to think, though. It's more compelling if Rusev's streak looks to be in danger. There's too much momentum with The Bulgarian Brute to have him lose for the first time. The company can milk this undefeated stretch a lot more. If he's not going up against Cena, it's best to put your money in Rusev.
*Rusev

Nikki Bella vs. Brie Bella

This bout's stipulation only makes sense if the heel is the one who wins. Watching Brie order around her sister wouldn't be as powerful as the opposite scenario. Look for Nikki to steal a win and then create a dynamic with her sister that will remind folks of Alberto Del Rio abusing his ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez. If the company is headed for a Survivor Series match between them, it's more logical to have the babyface fall here and spend the next month hungry to make up for it. Then the big payoff is still on the horizon.
 *Nikki Bella

WWE Divas Championship: AJ Lee (c) vs. Paige

It would be a shock if WWE had the Divas title change hands again. AJ dethroned Paige at Battleground. Paige won back the championship at SummerSlam. AJ returned the favor at Night of Champions, knocking off both Nikki and Paige. For the company to go four-straight pay-per-views would be unprecedented. For that reason alone, AJ is a safe bet. Their rivalry has gone on long enough (without much of a spark) as well. It's time for the champ to wrap up this story and seek out a new challenger.
*AJ Lee

WWE Tag Team Championship: Goldust and Stardust (c) vs. The Usos

WWE hasn't paid much attention to the feud between these brother teams since Night of Champions. A lame "Know Your Bro" segment doesn't count as buildup. It doesn't seem like WWE really has a plan with this story. If that's the case, look for Goldust and Stardust to retain by default.
The last title change was the apex of a story arc, the announcement that Stardust and Goldust had arrived. There's not really an arc to have end at Hell in a Cell, so the status quo is the most likely outcome.
*The Dusts
