WWE Smackdown Live Results 6/20/17

(c) WWE

1. Big E defeated Jimmy Uso. Prior to the match, the New Day insisted they had the tag titles won at Money in the Bank. Big E managed to hit the Big Ending and get the pin.

2. Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Dolph Ziggler. Nakamura landed a huge Kinshasa and got the pinfall victory.

3. United States Championship Match: Kevin Owens (c) defeated Chad Gable. AJ Styles sat in on commentary for the match. Kevin Owens won by pinfall after hitting the pop-up powerbomb.

— All five women from the Money in the Bank match joined Daniel Bryan in the ring. After much discussion, Bryan said Carmella must hand over the briefcase, and next week there will be another Money in the Bank ladder match to determine a true winner. Bryan left with the briefcase, and then a fight broke out amongst the women, and Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch laid out Carmella.

4. Jinder Mahal defeated Luke Harper. This was a non-title match. During the match, Baron Corbin came out and teased cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase, and said he was in Mahal’s head. Harper went for a discus clothesline, but was distracted by one of the Singh Brothers, allowing Mahal to hit the Khallas and get the pin.

— After the match, Randy Orton came out and beat down the Singh Brothers and Mahal outside the ring. He went to hit Mahal with an RKO, but the Singh Brothers intervened. Mahal escaped through the crowd as Orton hit an RKO on one of the Singhs and posed in the ring.

1. The Hardy Boyz defeated Gallows and Anderson. Jeff Hardy picked up the win for him and his brother with a Swanton Bomb.

— Elias Sampson began to play his guitar in the ring, but insisted that it needed to be tuned, and he would need complete silence to do so. Sampson threatened to sit in the ring all day until it was done, but was then interrupted by Finn Bálor. Sampson gets in Bálor’s face, but then chooses to walk away.

2. Finn Bálor defeated Bo Dallas. After taking Dallas down with a tornado dropkick, Bálor finished him off with a Coup de Grâce.

3. Akira Tozawa defeated TJP. Tozawa beat TJP with a diving senton.

4. Samoa Joe defeated Roman Reigns. During the match, Reigns was distracted by a video of Braun Strowman getting out of an ambulance. This allowed Samoa Joe to take advantage and lock in the Coquina Clutch for the win.

— Miz started off this week’s episode of Miz TV in the ring next to a life-sized wrapped present and two bear mascots bearing signs of apology. Maryse came to the ring after and unwrapped the gift to reveal the grandfather clock she has initially gifted to Miz. He revealed that he all the nights she thought he was sleeping on the couch, he was actually in the garage looking up YouTube videos on how to fix the clock. Dean Ambrose hit the ring and tried to go after Miz, but ended up splashing champagne in Maryse’s face. Miz tried to go after Ambrose, but was instead sent headlong into the recently refurbished grandfather clock. Maryse stormed off as Ambrose stood triumphant and smug in the ring. Ambrose was then attacked from behind by the two bears, who revealed themselves to be Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.

5. Sheamus and Cesaro defeated Titus O’Neill and Apollo Crews. Sheamus and Cesaro made short work of the challengers with their tag variation of the White Noise.

6. Sasha Banks defeated Nia Jax via DQ. During the match, Emma attacked Alexa Bliss while she was on commentary, chasing her into the ring. Bliss attempted to hide behind Jax, but Jax pushed her forward towards Emma. Bliss moved out of the way as Emma went to kick her in the stomach, causing her to hit Jax instead. After the bell, a brawl broke out between the four women. They were then joined by Mickie James and Dana Brooke, with Bayley eventually coming in to join the fray and try to get the save.

— Kurt Angle came to the ring to announce his findings. He first calls Enzo and Cass to the ring, and then his primary suspects: The Revival and Big Show. Show says that they’re both SAWFT, and if he was going to attack them, he’d come straight to their face and punch them in the mouth. The Revival profess their innocence, and Angle confirms that they have solid alibis. Corey Graves piped up and debunked Cass’ alibi, and then showed footage of Cass staging his own attack. He accuses Cass of attacking Enzo, and Cass confirms that it was him. He said he was his partner because he felt bad for Enzo, and snapped after putting up with his crap each day. After all the crap in Tampa and NXT, Cass wanted to make Enzo suffer. He says they’re through, and then boots Enzo in the face.

Money in the Bank 2017 results and review

Kickoff Match: The Hype Bros defeated The Colons. Zack Ryder pinned Primo after a Hype Rider.

-> ok for a KickOff show match but I thought about a split of the Hype Bros and a Heel turn of Rider. 5 of 10 points.

1. Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Carmella defeated Charlotte Flair, Natalya, Tamina and Becky Lynch. Lynch was climbing the ladder, but James Ellsworth interfered and knocked her out. Ellsworth then climbed the ladder, unhooked the briefcase and dropped it to Carmella. Both Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan sent out tweets saying they’d address the situation on Smackdown this week.

-> good match till Ellsworth got involved and ruined the match. Thats the worst booking ever and a downfall of the so called womans revolution. 6 of 10 points.

2. Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match: The New Day defeated The Usos (c). The Usos intentionally lost the match by count-out, which means they’re still Smackdown Tag Team Champions.

-> and another booking disappointment. 6 of 10 points.

3. Smackdown Women’s Championship Match: Naomi (c) defeated Lana. Lana appeared to have the match won with her sit-out spinebuster, but Carmella and James Ellsworth came to ringside and teased a Money in the Bank cash-in. Naomi won the match by submission with her headscissors crucifix choke. Carmella didn’t cash in.

-> thank god Naomi retained her title. But everybody could see that Lana can´t wrestle like Eva-Marie. 5 of 10 points.

Maria Kanellis returned to WWE alongside her husband, Mike Bennett, now known as “Mike Kanellis.” They promised to educate Smackdown on the power of love, for some reason.

4. WWE Championship Match: Jinder Mahal (c) defeated Randy Orton. St. Louis-area legends were seated at ringside. The Singh Brothers cheated for Mahal and were ejected, but decided to mess with Randy Orton’s father, Bob Orton, instead of leaving. Orton beat them up, then walked into a Khallas from Mahal and was pinned.

-> Jinder is still the champ and thats all that matters. Orton sucks, no charisma at all and a way to big ego. 6 of 10 points.

5. Breezango defeated The Ascension. The Ascension were the team that jumped Tyler Breeze backstage on Smackdown. Fandango pinned Viktor with a small package.

-> not really sure why WWE reopen the case of The Ascension. 4 of 10 points and not really PPV material.

6. Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Baron Corbin defeated Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Corbin attacked Nakamura before the match, taking him out from most of it. Nakamura returned later and cleaned house. Nakamura and Styles squared off for several minutes and continued the fight on top of a ladder, so Corbin shoved them off and climbed the ladder to win the match.

-> No surprise here too with Corbin winning this one. Best match of the evening and the only match worth watching this PPV live. 8 of 10 points.

-> WORST PPV of 2017 so far.

WWE Money in the Bank 2017 PPV Predictions

Here are my predictions for tonights WWE ppv "Money in the Bank"

Pre-Show Kickoff Match: The Hype Bros vs. The Colons
Why is this not The Fashion Police against The Colons? That seems strange. If they wanted The Hype Bros to just beat somebody, they could have beaten The Ascension.

PREDICTION: The Hype Bros win.

SmackDown Women's Championship Match: Naomi (c) vs. Lana
Quite a big step up from being a total rookie to getting a title shot, right? Still, I'm interested to see what Lana has to offer in the ring.

PREDICTION: Naomi will retain.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match: The Usos (c) vs. The New Day
I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that The Usos retain the titles here for a shock, but I do have to lean much more heavily toward The New Day becoming the new champions, because, well, they're The New Day.

PREDICTION: The New Day take the belts.

Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Natalya vs. Carmella vs. Tamina
I'm very happy to see that this match is happening, as it should have happened years ago. The downside to this is that this isn't in a non-brand split era where all of the women (including the ones on Raw) can't be involved instead, fighting for one championship belt.

PREDICTION: The easy pick is Charlotte, but I think that's too easy. I'm going with Carmella.

WWE Championship Match: Jinder Mahal (c) vs. Randy Orton
I really hope, that Jinder will keep the title and Orton will lose this match too. If Jinder will retain, maybe AJ or Shinsuke will go against him.

PREDICTION: Jinder will retain.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match: AJ Styles vs. Baron Corbin vs. Sami Zayn vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kevin Owens
I still think it is totally dumb that this is a SmackDown-exclusive match instead of being a co-branded match at SummerSlam, and I'm very curious why Rusev isn't being brought into the mix at all. This is going to be a huge match to look out for as far as the booking for the rest of the year for SmackDown, so I hope WWE has a good plan.

PREDICTION: Baron Corbin or Shinsule will become Mr. Money in the Bank for 2017

1. Breezango and The New Day defeated The Usos and The Colons. Xavier Woods hit a Demolition stomp on Primo (called “UpUpDownDown” by the announcers) to get the pin.

— Backstage, Mojo Rawley talked about coming up short against Jinder Mahal last week, but the Zack Ryder showed up in a suit and the two Hype Bros reunited and caught up.

2. Naomi defeated Tamina Snuka. Naomi won by pinfall with the split-legged moonsault. After the match, Lana attacked Naomi, hit her with her finisher, and posed with the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

3. Charlotte Flair defeated Natalya. Charlotte won by pinfall after hitting the Natural Selection.

4. Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, and AJ Styles defeated Baron Corbin, Kevin Owens, and Dolph Ziggler. Zayn pinned Corbin after connecting with a Helluva Kick. After the match, Owens and Ziggler cleared the ring with a ladder before Corbin came in and took those two out. As Corbin was setting up and climbing a ladder, Nakamura pushed him off, hit him with a Kinshasa, and ended the show by climbing the ladder and pulling down the Money in the Bank briefcase.

WWE Raw Results 6/12/17

(c) WWE

1. Elias Samson defeated Dean Ambrose. Before the match, Elias Samson performed a song in the middle of the ring about how much he didn’t like Lafayette, Louisiana, nor did he like Dean Ambrose. The Miz came down to ringside, distracting Ambrose, allowing Samson to hit a swinging neckbreaker for the victory.

2. Cedric Alexander defeated Noam Dar. Dar came to the ring, phone in hand, with Alicia Fox still on FaceTime. He lost to Alexander’s Lumbar Check as soon as the bell rang.

3. Apollo Crews defeated Kalisto. Crews was accompanied by TItus O’Neil, who also got Akira Tozawa a front-row seat to see the Titus Brand in action. Crews won with a spinning sitout powerbomb. After the match, O’Neil brought Tozawa in the ring for a post-victory selfie.

4. Sasha Banks, Mickie James and Dana Brooke defeated Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax and Emma. Emma attempted to make a tag to Bliss, who then left the apron and abandoned her. She then got caught by Banks in the Banks Statement and tapped out.

5. Heath Slater and Rhyno defeated the Miz and a bear. The Miz’s partner was revealed to be a person in a bear costume that came down to the ring on a tricycle. Eventually, Miz jumped the bear and unmasked him to reveal another random guy. Dean Ambrose in a bear suit then switched places with the random guy and hit Heath Slater with Dirty Deeds. Ambrose then sent Miz into Maryse, who tumbled off the apron and injured herself. He then hit the Miz with Dirty Deeds and pulled Slater on top of Miz for the pinfall victory.

6. Neville vs. Rich Swann was a no-contest. Neville attacked Rich Swann before the match, which never officially started. Afterward, Neville threatened Akira Tozawa and Titus O’Neil.

WWE SD Live results 6.6.17

(c) WWE

1. Natalya, Tamina Snuka, and Carmella defeated Naomi, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair. The good guys were in control, but then Lana came out and interfered in the match, tripping Naomi on the ring apron and allowing Tamina to hit her with a superkick and get the pin.

2. AJ Styles defeated Dolph Ziggler. Styles was able to hit the Styles Clash and get the pin to even the score with Ziggler.

3. Jinder Mahal defeated Mojo Rawley. The Singh Brothers got involved, and a short time later, Mahal was able to hit the Khallas and get the pin. After the match, Mahal cut a promo about how he will retain his championship at Money in the Bank.

4. The New Day defeated The Colons. Big E and Xavier Woods were the New Day representatives for this match. They hit the Midnight Hour on Epico and Woods got the pin. After the match, the Usos appeared to run down the New Day.

 5. Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Kevin Owens. This was a non-title match. Nakamura win via pinfall after hitting the Kinshasa. After the match, Baron Corbin got in the ring and hit the End of Days on Nakamura.

WWE RAW results 5.6.17

(c) WWE

1. Roman Reigns defeated Bray Wyatt. After a lengthy match, Reigns defeated Wyatt after hitting a spear.

2. Sheamus and Cesaro defeated Heath Slater and Rhyno. Sheamus pinned Slater following a Brogue Kick. After the match, Sheamus and Cesaro ran down the Hardy Boyz.

3. TJP defeated Mustafa Ali. TJP blocked Ali’s inverted 450 splash and connected with a Detonation Kick for the win. Following the match, Neville came out and beat down TJP, informing him he’d get his title match on 205 Live tomorrow night.

4. Kalisto defeated Titus O’Neil. O’Neil tried for a handful of tights but was countered by Kalisto who grabbed a handful of tights of his own.

WWE Extreme Rules 2017 results and review

Here are the results and my review of WWE Extreme Rules 2017

Kickoff Match: Kalisto defeated Apollo Crews. Titus O’Neil got on the apron to argue with Crews. Kalisto walked up Titus to hit Salida del Sol on Crews for the pinfall victory.
-> good match for a KickOff show. Wrong winner for my taste. 7 of 10 points.

1. Intercontinental Championship Match; The Miz defeated Dean Ambrose (c). The stipulation for the match said that if Ambrose was disqualified, he would lose the championship. Miz tried to steal the title by ordering Maryse to slap him, but the referee saw through it and ejected her. As she was being ejected, Miz tossed Ambrose into the ref. The ref though Ambrose did it on purpose for some reason and threatened to DQ Ambrose. During the confusion, Miz hit Skull-crushing Finale to become a 7-time Intercontinental Championship.
-> finally The Miz is IC champion again. Best thing for this title. Great match and hopefully time for a new feud like The Miz vs Austin Aries. 8 of 10 points

2. Sasha Banks and Rich Swann defeated Alicia Fox and Noam Dar. Swann pinned Dar after a phoenix splash.
-> what a waste of star power. 5 of 10 points just for Sasha being in this.

3. Kendo Stick on a Pole match for the Raw Women’s Championship: Alexa Bliss (c) defeated Bayley. Bayley pulled down the kendo stick first, but Bliss was able to use it repeatedly and hit a DDT to retain the championship.
-> and another failure of womans wrestling potentials just to have a gimmick match. Good, Alexa keeps the title for 3 of 10 points.

4. Steel Cage Match for the Raw Tag Team Championship: Cesaro and Sheamus defeated The Hardy Boyz (c). Jeff Hardy escaped the cage first, but climbed back in to hit a Whisper in the Wind from the top of the cage. He apparently re-entered him in the match, as Sheamus and Cesaro were the first team to escape despite Matt Hardy exiting the door first and being unable to drag Jeff to the floor in time. Sheamus and Cesaro are the new Tag Team Champions.
5. Submission Match for the Cruiserweight Championship: Neville (c) defeated Austin Aries. Aries made Neville tap out to the Last Chancery on the floor, but it didn’t count. Neville was able to hit a Red Arrow to Aries’ back and lock on the Rings of Saturn to get the submission victory.
-> After 2 title changed already on the show, everyone knows that ARIES will not win this one. Great match again between these two with Neville keeping the title. 8 of 10 points too.

6. Fatal Five-way Match: Samoa Joe defeated Finn Balor, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt. Balor hit Coup de Grace on Roman Reigns, but Joe pulled him off the pinfall with a Coquina Clutch. Balor passed out in the hold, giving Joe the win. Samoa Joe will face Brock Lesnar at Great Balls Of Fire.
-> best match of the evening. Great actions between all 5 of them. Surpring winner with Samoa Joe for me. 9 of 10 points.

WWE Extreme Rules 2017 Predictions

Here are my predictions for tonights WWE ppv - EXTREME RULES 2017

1. Fatal 5-Way No. 1 Contender Match: Finn Bálor vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Samoa Joe vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns
-> you can tell this wasn't the plan for Extreme Rules, as Rollins/Joe, Wyatt/Balor and Reigns/Strowman would have been separate matches. I'm really hoping this is a match Roman Reigns wins, as I'd like to see him face Brock Lesnar.
PREDICTION: Roman Reigns wins.

2. Intercontinental Championship Match (Title changes hands on DQ): Dean Ambrose (c) vs. The Miz
-> This isn't exactly a gimmick match so much as it has the stipulation where if Dean Ambrose gets disqualified, he will drop the title. That makes you wonder if the whole reason for it is to put the belt on The Miz in a way that doesn't actually have him defeat Ambrose. Then again, isn't that just the obvious course of action?
PREDICTION: Dean Ambrose retains

3. Raw Tag Team Championship Steel Cage Match: The Hardy Boyz (c) vs. Cesaro and Sheamus
-> The heel turn revitalized Sheamus and Cesaro to a certain extent, but I still don't think they'll win the titles. The steel cage stipulation should be interesting, as it doesn't necessarily sway one way or the other in the storyline with people having outside interference come into play, so I'm curious to see what they do to utilize the environment.
PREDICTION: The Hardy Boyz retain the titles.

4. Raw Women’s Championship Kendo Stick on a Pole Match: Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Bayley
-> I wouldn't have guessed this particular stipulation, would you? But hey, what the hell, why not, right?
PREDICTION: Alexa Bliss retains, possibly with some help from Nia Jax.

5. WWE Cruiserweight Championship Submission Match: Neville (c) vs. Austin Aries
-> Part of me was kind of hoping this would be a Fatal 4-Way with TJP and Gentleman Jack Gallagher, or at least some gimmick match, but whatever. These two are entertaining together and this should be the end of their feud, so if they can go out with a bang, I don't really care which man wins.
PREDICTION: I keep thinking Aries will win the belt

6. Mixed Tag Team Match: Rich Swann and Sasha Banks vs. Noam Dar and Alicia Fox
-> It makes sense for Dar and Fox to team up and since they're feuding with Banks and Swann, why not?
PREDICTION: Noam Dar and Alicia Fox win

KickOff Show: Apollo Crews vs. Kalisto
-> Apollo will win this one with help of the Titus brand.
