WWE Smackdown 30.8.14 results and review - worst booking again

Here is this weeks SD! review


Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt w/ Luke Harper and Erick Rowan

The bell rings, and they lock up. Wyatt punches him a few times before Reigns puts him in the corner and goes to the second rope for the ten punches. Wyatt sneaks through his legs and pulls him down. Wyatt punches him before sending him hard into the corner, but Reigns soon explodes out with a clothesline. Reigns punches him a few times before Wyatt throws him out of the ring. Reigns stares at Harper and Rowan as they approach him. Reigns gets on the apron and punches Wyatt. Wyatt kicks him in the face as he tries to get into the ring. Wyatt then avalanches him off the apron to the floor. Wyatt goes outside and clotheslines him down. Wyatt punches him before putting him in the ring.

Wyatt covers for a no count. Wyatt elbows him in the face a few times before applying a chin lock. Reigns soon fights up and punches out, but Wyatt kicks him in the midsection. Wyatt clubs him down before talking a little trash. Reigns then grabs him and clotheslines him down.

Reigns punches him before having a whip reversed. Reigns ducks a clothesline and hits one of his own. Reigns sends him to the corner, but he runs into a boot. Wyatt then runs into a back elbow. Reigns goes for a Samoan Drop, but Wyatt elbows out and floors him with a flying elbow. Wyatt follows up with a senton splash for a near fall. Wyatt goes to the second rope, but Reigns cuts him off. Reigns then catches him on his shoulders and hits a Samoan Drop for a two count. Reigns clotheslines him in the corner and punches him down. Reigns goes outside, ducks a clothesline from Harper, and connects with a running dropkick on Wyatt. Reigns then begins punching Harper. Rowan attacks from behind, and they soon double-team him for a disqualification.


Winner by Disqualification: Roman Reigns

*that could be the next big feud for Reigns and Wyatt but WWE throw that away at SD. Lame.


Rob Van Dam vs. Seth Rollins

They lock up, and Rollins quickly powers him to the corner before stomping him down. Rollins punches him to another corner before whipping him to the opposite corner. Rollins runs into a back elbow, and RVD comes off the second rope with a thrust kick. Rollins reverses a whip into the ropes, but RVD backflips over him. Rollins quickly kicks him in the midsection before dropkicking him into the ropes. Rollins hits a body slam for a two count.
We come back from the break to see Rollins send RVD into the corner before hitting a Stinger Splash. Rollins does the "R-V-D" taunt as the crowd boos. Rollins then applies a chin lock. RVD fights up and elbows out, but Rollins quickly elbows him in the head. RVD blocks a shot to the corner, and Rollins avoids a high kick to the forehead. Rollins then stands straight up and catches the high kick on the rebound. Rollins staggers into the ropes before RVD hits a pair of clotheslines. RVD hits a superkick before going for Rolling Thunder, but Rollins moves out of they way.

Rollins goes for the Curb Stomp, but RVD moves. RVD then takes him out with a double leg spin kick. RVD goes for the Five Star Frog Splash, but Rollins rolls out of the way. RVD gets to his feet and avoids a clothesline, but Rollins takes him out with an enzuigiri for a near fall. Rollins goes to the top rope, and RVD kicks him down on the turnbuckle. RVD goes for a superplex, but Rollins blocks it with a rake of the eyes. Rollins then does a sunset flip, but doesn't powerbomb him. Rollins has him on his shoulders before running to the corner to powerbomb him into the turnbuckle. Rollins hits a second turnbuckle powerbomb before hitting the Curb Stomp for the win!

* The match was ok, way to short of course. RVD is gone from WWE for now. 

Emma vs. Paige

Emma does here dance at the sound of the bell, and Paige shoves her down by the face. Paige skips around her, but Emma schoolgirls her for a two count. Paige kicks her before sending her to the corner. Paige runs into some boots, and Emma goes to the apron. Paige grabs her, but Emma hits an unconventional kick to the side of the head. Emma goes to the top rope, but Paige rips her off. Paige then applies the PTO for the submission.



Winner by Submission: Paige

*just another step on the upcoming ppv match between AJ and Paige. The promo after the match was better than the match.


Submission Match - Rusev w/ Lana vs. Jack Swagger

They circle the ring before Swagger grabs the leg. Swagger quickly goes for the Patriot Lock, but he quickly escapes. Rusev is still limping. Swagger's ribs are also taped. Swagger applies a waistlock, but he can't lift him because of the ribs. Rusev kicks him in the ribs. Rusev goes for another kick, but Swagger slaps his injured ankle away. Rusev hobbles to the ropes and holds his ankle. Lana shouts some instructions. Rusev charges out of the corner, and Swagger catches him with a waistlock takeover. Swagger fakes going for a Swagger Bomb, which Rusev rolls away from. Swagger then catches him with a Patriot Lock, but Rusev is already under the bottom rope. Rusev quickly rolls out of the ring. Swagger goes to attack him on the outside, but Rusev sends him ribs first into the barricade. Rusev sends him into the barricade again as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to see Swagger elbow out of a bear hug. Swagger hits the ropes, and Rusev takes him down with a flapjack. Rusev splashes him against the ropes, and Swagger falls out of the ring. Swagger pulls himself up on the ring post. Rusev goes outside and punches him in the ribs a few times. Rusev goes for a kick, but Swagger counters into a Patriot Lock. Rusev claws back into the ring, but he breaks the hold before being disqualified.

Swagger gets in the ring, ducks a clothesline, and hits one of his own. Swagger hits a running knee in the corner before whipping him to the other turnbuckle, but Rusev collapses because he can't run on the ankle. Swagger shoves him to the corner and wraps it around the middle rope before kicking it. Swagger then big boots him down. Swagger hits a Swagger Bomb, but he hurts himself in the process. Rusev quickly takes him down and applies a Patriot Lock on Swagger! Swagger then counters into a Patriot Lock the way it should be done. Swagger drags him to the middle of the ring, and Rusev is in a lot of pain. Rusev refuses to submit as he bites his fist. Rusev then lets out a burst of energy and gets to the bottom rope. Swagger drags him back into the middle of the ring, but Rusev kicks him a few times in the injured ribs to get him away. Swagger tries to chop block the knee, but Rusev sidesteps him. Rusev then takes him down with a big thrust kick.


Lana orders Rusev to crush Swagger. Rusev stomps the spine and applies the Accolade. Swagger gets an arm out and starts to pull to the bottom rope. Rusev clutches the arm again, but Swagger again gets an arm out. Swagger eventually claws his way to the bottom rope. Rusev drags him to the other side of the ring and stomps on the spine before reapplying the Accolade. Swagger begins to power up and get to his feet, but someone off camera throws a white towel into the ring. The referee is confused and tosses it out of the ring. As his back is turned, Bo Dallas sweeps Swagger's feet. Swagger hits the mat with Rusev still on his back. Dallas hides by the ring apron. Rusev puts on the Accolade, and Swagger has no choice but to tap out.





Winner by Submission: Rusev
*good match between both wrestler. They really got it over with the fans. Even the 24th match between them is still watchable. Rusev wins and Bo Dallas getting more heat to feud up against Swagger. 

Jimmy Uso w/ Jey Uso vs. Stardust w/ Goldust

Before the match begins, Goldust takes the microphone. Goldust says they want to apologize for their actions on Monday. They really want the Tag Team Titles, and they lost their heads. Goldust asks them to accept their apology.

The bell rings, and they lock up. Uso powers him to the corner, but Stardust gets away. Uso puts him in the other corner and chops him a few times. Stardust pushes him away and kicks him in the side of the head. Stardust punches him before shouldering him in the corner. Uso then explodes out of the corner with a schoolboy for the win.



Winner by Pinfall: Jimmy Uso
*Worst tag team booking again. 1 on 1 for this week and next week too. This week the Usos won, next week will the Goldusts week. At the ppv The Dusts will win the title for sure.




Damien Sandow w/ The Miz vs. Sheamus

The great Charles Robinson is back for another match. The bell rings, and The Miz quickly gets on the apron to distract Sheamus. Sheamus goes to grab him, and that allows Sandow to club away at him. The Miz then joins the commentators. Sandow punches and knees away at him before hitting some head-butts. Sandow sends him into the ropes and hits a back elbow. Sandow head-butts him before stomping away at him in the corner. The referee backs him up before he whips Sheamus into the corner. Sheamus comes out with a pair of Irish hammers and a powerslam. Sheamus throws him to the apron and hits the 10 Beats of the Bodhrán. Sheamus follows up with White Noise for the win.


Winner by Pinfall: Sheamus

* and the booking getting even worst this week. Sheamus won - nothing more to say.


Mark Henry, Big Show, and Roman Reigns vs. The Wyatt Family

They all stand face to face in the ring. The referee tries to order them to the apron and leave the legal members in there. A brawl breaks out, and the ring clears. The bell rings, and it is Erick Rowan starting against the Big Show. Rowan punches Big Show a few times before sending him into the ropes. Big Show surprises him with a sunset flip for a two count. I've never seen him do that before. Big Show hits a clothesline for a one count. Big Show wrenches the arm and elbows him in the shoulder. Roman Reigns is tagged in, and he punches Rowan. Reigns wrenches the arm a few times before tagging in Mark Henry. Henry clubs Rowan down before tagging Big Show back in. Big Show head-butts him before putting him in the corner. Big Show shushes the crowd, but Rowan slaps him away and tags in Luke Harper. Harper runs into a hip toss, and Big Show wrenches the arm. Big Show chops the chest, and Harper stumbles in a daze to the opposite corner. Big Show chops the chest and punches away at him. The crowd chants for one more. Big Show hits a snapmare and connects for a low dropkick for a two count.

Henry is tagged in, and he does a JYD crawling head-butt. Henry sends him to the corner before avalanching him. Henry scares Rowan off the apron before turning into a dropkick from Harper. Bray Wyatt is tagged in, and he begins to attack Henry as a commercial hits.

We come back from the break to see Henry fighting up from a chin lock applied by Rowan. Rowan knees him in the midsection and goes for a suplex, but he can't get Henry up. Henry suplexes him and tags in Big Show. Big Show hits a pair of clotheslines on Rowan before sending him to the corner for a butt bump. Big Show follows up with a shoulder block. Big Show goes for a Chokeslam, and he big boots Wyatt down as he tries to interfere. Rowan elbows out and clotheslines him down.

Harper is tagged in, and he clubs away at Big Show before punching wildly at him. Harper kicks away at him before applying a front face lock. Harper does the gator roll before going to a side headlock. The crowd claps for Big Show, and he begins to fight up. Big Show elbows out before hitting the ropes and eating a dropkick. Wyatt is tagged in, and he kicks and punches Big Show before hitting a DDT for a two count. Rowan is tagged in, and he punches Big Show before hitting a big splash for a two count. Rowan drops a knee and rips at his face. Big Show fights up, but Rowan powers him to the corner and punches him down. Rowan whips him to the opposite corner, but he runs into a boot. Rowan then takes him down with a back elbow. Harper is tagged in, and he stretches Big Show on the ropes. Wyatt looks at Big Show with a crazy face. Harper applies a chin lock, but Big Show powers up with him on his shoulders. Big Show then counters into a sidewalk slam. Harper tags in Wyatt, and he attacks Big Show. Wyatt punches and head-butts him before hitting a running forearm. Wyatt goes for an avalanche, but Big Show counters with a clothesline.

Reigns and Harper are tagged in. Reigns hits a pair of clotheslines before punching Rowan off the apron. Reigns throws Harper out of the ring. Reigns goes outside and drives him into the barricade before sending him into the apron. Reigns then gives him a back suplex on the apron. Reigns puts him in the ring, ducks a pair of clotheslines, and he hits one of his own. Reigns clotheslines and uppercuts him in the corner. Harper falls into the ropes. Reigns punches Wyatt away before hitting a running apron dropkick. Reigns signals for the end. Wyatt grabs him, but Reigns punches him away. Reigns ducks a clothesline and connects with a Superman Punch, but Rowan breaks up the pinfall.

Big Show comes in and Chokeslams Rowan down. Wyatt runs in and takes Big Show out with a flying back elbow. Henry takes Wyatt out with the World's Strongest Slam. Harper then takes Henry out with a big boot. Harper then hits Reigns with a superkick for a near fall. Harper cannot believe it. Harper picks him up and sends him into the ropes. Harper goes for a discus clothesline, but Reigns counters into a Spear for the win!



Winners by Pinfall: Mark Henry, Big Show, and Roman Reigns
 *pretty good mainevent from all wrestler. The Wyatts know how to get the best out of their opponents.
