WWE Great Balls of Fire results and review

Here are the results and my review of last nights WWE PPV

Cruiserweight Championship Match: Neville (c) defeated Akira Tozawa.
This took place on the pre-show. Neville crotched Tozawa on the top rope, then kicked the rope to deliver a second low blow. Tozawa had trouble standing up, so Neville kicked him in the stomach and pinned him.
-> pretty good match for the kickoff show. Right winner with King Neville for 7 of 10 points.

1. Bray Wyatt defeated Seth Rollins.
Wyatt thumbed Rollins in the eye, then hit Sister Abigail to win the match.
-> Good opener but could be much more. Thank god Bray won this match and the feud will continue at SummerSlam I´m sure. 7 of 10 points.

2. Big Cass defeated Enzo Amore.
Cass squashed Enzo, gorilla pressing him inside the ring to the floor and hitting a big boot for the win.
-> Cleat brutal beatdown by Cass. 3 of 10 points.

3. 30-Minute Iron Man Match for the Raw Tag Team Championship: Sheamus and Cesaro (c) defeated The Hardy Boys.
Sheamus scored the first fall only 19 seconds into the match with a Brogue Kick on Matt Hardy. About 10 minutes in, Jeff Hardy was pinned by a tandem White Noise to make the match 2 falls to zero. Jeff was able to come back and hit Cesaro with a Twist of Fate to make it 2-1. Cesaro ran Matt Hardy into the ring post outside of the ring, causing Hardy to get counted out and upping the gap to 3-1.

With 7 minutes remaining on the clock, the Hardys used a tandem roll-up to pin Cesaro. A few minutes later, Matt Hardy tied it up with a Twist of Fate off the ropes to Sheamus. Jeff hit a Swanton on Sheamus with only 30 seconds left, but Cesaro cradled Jeff and pinned him to steal a fall. Jeff hit a Twist of Fate on Cesaro with a second left, but wasn’t able to complete the pin before time ran out. Sheamus and Cesaro win 4-3, and retain the Raw Tag Team Championship.
-> best match of the evening. Shesaro retains this time, thats ok for me. Broken Hardyz on the horizon (SummerSlam). 9 of 10 points.

4. Raw Women’s Championship Match: Sasha Banks defeated Alexa Bliss (c).
Banks won by count-out, meaning Bliss is still the champion. After the match, Banks attacked Bliss, shoved her off the announce table and hit a diving double-knee strike from the table to the floor.
-> Good womans match and the start for a longer feud. The CountOut by Bliss fits their attitude and the aftermatch was great. Sasha rulz. 7 of 10 points.

5. Intercontinental Championship Match: The Miz (c) defeated Dean Ambrose.
The Miz-tourage repeatedly interfered in the match. Bo Dallas hit Ambrose from behind while the referee was distracted, allowing Miz to hit Skull-crushing Finale and retain the championship.
-> hopefully the last match between these 2. The WWE universe needs a new feud for the IC Title. Finn Balor for example. The Miz retains - thats good. 5 of 10 points.

6. Ambulance Match: Braun Strowman defeated Roman Reigns.
Roman tried to spear Strowman into the ambulance, but Strowman side-stepped and sent Roman flying into it, winning the match. Roman recovered instantly, though, spearing Strowman. Roman then put Strowman in the back of the ambulance, drove it to the garage area and backed it into a truck at high speed. Kurt Angle and agents tried to free Strowman from the back of the wreck and, I guess, call an ambulance?

-> Oh Reigns lost a match at a ppv - thats great. But the feud isnt over yet. I guess for a Last Man Standing Match at SummerSlam. 7 of 10 points.

7. Heath Slater defeated Curt Hawkins.
This happened to kill time while the fire department showed up and tried to save Strowman. They eventually got into the ambulance and tried to take Braun away, but he refused help and staggered away bloody. The finish of the match wasn’t shown.
-> Hey, Slater won a PPV match for the KIDS. Thats great. 1 of 10 points.

8. Universal Championship Match: Brock Lesnar (c) defeated Samoa Joe.
Joe took the fight to Lesnar, but the champ was able to counter the Coquina Clutch into an F-5 to score the victory and retain the title.
-> Way to short mainevent and not really mainevent worthy at all. Sadly Joe didnt won the title yet. Lets hope for SummerSlam. 6 of 10 points.
