WWE RAW results 16.5.16
1. Sami Zayn vs. Cesaro ended in a no contest. The
Miz and Kevin Owens were on commentary. Owens and Miz got into it at
ringside before taking the fight into the ring. Shane McMahon then came
out and made Miz/Owens vs. Cesaro/Zayn in a tag match. Stephanie McMahon
then came out and made it Cesaro/Miz vs. Owens/Zayn with the
stipulation that Owens couldn’t walk out on Zayn or else he was out of
the Intercontinental Title match at Extreme Rules.
2. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeated The Miz and Cesaro. Zayn pinned the Miz after a Helluva Kick. Owens then superkicked Zayn and was the last man standing in the ring.
3. The Shining Stars defeated Scott Jackson and Brian Kennedy. The latest version of Primo and Epico debuted. Epico got the pin after hitting The Shining Star.
– Dean Ambrose called Chris Jericho to the ring. Jericho demanded an apology for Ambrose destroying his jacket, Ambrose said no, challenged Jericho to a match at Extreme Rules, and Jericho accepted. Ambrose announced that it would be the first-ever Asylum Match.
4. Dana Brooke defeated Becky Lynch. Brooke won her Raw debut via pinfall.
5. Tyler Breeze and Fandango defeated Golden Truth. Tyler Breeze pinned Goldust after R-Truth accidentally kicked Goldust.
– New Day cut a promo in the ring in which they unveiled Xavier Woods’ New DayLorean Time Machine. They were ambushed by The Vaudevillains.
6. The Usos (with Roman Reigns) defeated Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson (with A.J. Styles). Jey Uso pinned Anderson after hitting him with a Samoan Splash. After the match, both teams brawled, and Styles hit Reigns with a Styles Clash onto a chair.
7. Big Cass defeated D-Von Dudley (with Bubba Ray Dudley). Big Cass hit D-Von with an East River Crossing for the pinfall win.
8. Alberto Del Rio defeated Kalisto. Del Rio pinned Kalisto after a backstabber. During the match, Rusev attacked Sin Cara backstage, then brought him down to ringside, and beat him up some more. Rusev got into the ring after the match and put Kalisto in the Accolade.
– Stephanie and Shane McMahon oversaw the contract signing for the Women’s Championship match at Extreme Rules. Natalya signed the contract first, and after hesitating to sign because the McMahon’s added a stipulation that Charlotte would forfeit the title if her father showed up at ringside, both Flairs signed. After Stephanie slapped the Nature Boy out of the ring, Raw ended with Natalya locking Charlotte in a sharpshooter and holding the title in the ring.
