NXT TakeOver: Dallas 2016

Here are the results of last nights NXT show:

1. NXT Tag Team Championship Match: American Alpha defeated The Revival (c). American Alpha won a back and forth match with a Grand Amplitude to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions.

-> awesome match and hopefully not the last one between these two team. 8,5 of 10 points.

 

2. Austin Aries defeated Baron Corbin. Corbin thought he had the match won after a Deep Six on the floor, but Aries beat the count. Aries countered End of Days into a rollup for the win.

-> just the start of a great feud. Way to short for my taste and not the best wrestling at all. 5 of 10 points. Not that debut of AA I hoped for.

3. Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Sami Zayn. If you missed Nakamura’s entrance, watch that here. Nakamura won with a pair of “Kinshasa” knee strikes, formerly the Bomaye.

--> JUST WOW - match of the night and a pretty good candidate as  MATCH OF THE YEAR. 10 of 10 points.

4. NXT Women’s Championship Match: Asuka defeated Bayley (c). Asuka became the new NXT Women’s Champion when Bayley passed out in the Asuka Lock.

--> another great match on the card and both ladies shown their best wrestling. 8,5 of 10 points and ASUKA won the title unbeaten

– Japanese star Kota Ibushi and former TNA star Bobby Roode were shown in the crowd.

5. NXT Championship Match: Finn Balor (c) defeated Samoa Joe. Joe was busted open near his eye early in the match and had to get medical attention throughout. Balor countered a Coquina Clutch by walking up the turnbuckle and turning it into a pin.

--> the eye cut really stopped the chemistry in this match. And the stupid fans who chanting "this is BS" and "let him bleed" are total idiots. Both men did the best they can with that injury. Surprisingly Joe did not won the title at the end. Maybe a submission gimmick match is in the near future. 8 of 10 points.
