2. Tony Nese defeated Mustafa Ali. Ali set up for a 450 splash, but Nese caught his foot and pulled him off of the top rope. Nese then used a running knee to get the win.

— Seth Rollins appeared in the ring to once again call out Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Stephanie came to the ring and tried to calm Rollins down, but Rollins went on a diatribe about the Authority and angered her. Stephanie finally got angry and told Rollins that Triple H was indeed on his was to Raw, and has Rollins in his sights.

3. Cesaro, Sheamus, and Bayley defeated Charlotte Flair, Gallows and Anderson. Bayley picked up the win for her team with a Bayley-to-Belly on Charlotte.

— Neville told the crowd that he’s the King of the Cruiserweights, and they’re all there to witness his coronation. Rich Swann interrupted, saying that the fight he’s in against the WWE Universe is all in Neville’s head, and that he respects him. After reaching out to shake his hand, Neville tells Swann that he has to bend a knee to him instead. Swann tried to leave, but Neville attacked and chased him off.

4. Universal Title Match: Braun Strowman defeated Kevin Owens (c) via DQ. Prior to the match start, Strowman put Chris Jericho through the announce table before heading to the ring. Roman Reigns came out, causing the disqualification with a Superman Punch. After the bell, Reigns speared Strowman, then Owens for good measure.

— Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman came out to address Lesnar’s issues with Goldberg. After running down a list of people who have been destroyed by Brock, Heyman insisted that the “Yeah, but Goldberg…” sentiment be killed. Heyman then officially challenged Goldberg to a match against Lesnar at WrestleMania,

5. Nia Jax defeated Sasha Banks via referee stoppage.Jax ragdolled Sasha, repeatedly swinging her injured leg into the ring post. The match was called after Jax locked her into a brutal submission, but she refused to let Sasha out after the bell rang. Bayley came out for the save.

— Triple H explained how he plucked Seth Rollins from obscurity and made him a star, but as soon as he felt the pressure of being a world champion he crumbled. He said that he doesn’t need to apologize to Rollins, Rollins needs to apologize to him. He’s done trying to hold back from being the guy who injures people, then menacingly took off his jacket and tie and called Rollins out to the ring and meet his destroyer. Before he can make it to the ring, Rollins is jumped from behind by Samoa Joe. Joe hit Rollins with multiple sentons as Triple H walked away, before choking him out with a Coquina Clutch to end the show.

Royal Rumble 2017 results and review

1. Kickoff Match: Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Nikki Bella defeated Mickie James, Natalya, and Alexa Bliss. Naomi hit a split-legged moonsault on Alexa Bliss to pick up the pin.
-> good match but a little bit too short. Naomi will ge the best out of it with a title match. 6 of 10 points.

2. Kickoff Raw Tag-Team Title Match: The Club defeated Sheamus and Cesaro (c). Anderson was able to cheat and roll up Cesaro while grabbing his tights to get the pin and walk away with the titles.
-> best kick off match and thank god The Club won the titles. 7 of 10 points.

3. Kickoff Match: Nia Jax defeated Sasha Banks. Nia Jax defeated favorite Sasha Banks with the pop-up Samoan Drop to steal the win.
-> no surprise here. 5 of 10 points

4. Raw Women’s Championship Match: Charlotte (c) defeated Bayley. After tossing her to the outside, Charlotte used the Natural Selection on the apron to retain her title.
-> pretty good womans match. Baylay will win the title down the road or at Mania. 8 of 10 points.

5. WWE Universal Championship Match: Kevin Owens (c) with Shark Cage Chris Jericho defeated Roman Reigns. After interference from Braun Strowman, Kevin Owens was able to grab the pin to retain the championship.
-> awesome match and I don´t even like Reigns at all. Right decision that KO kept the title. 9 of 10 points.

6. WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match: Neville defeated Rich Swann (c). Nevulle took down reigning champion Rich Swann with an Iron Maiden.
-> another great match and awesome action too. Cool that Neville won the title just yet. He is a great heel. 9 of 10 points

7. WWE Championship Match: John Cena defeated AJ Styles (c). Cena hit a super Attitude Adjustment, and two rolling Attitudes Adjustment to capture his 16th world title.
-> Best match of the evening. Sadly AJ lost the title jst to get Cena the 16th title reign. Bad booking at all. 9,5 of 10 points. Could have be a 10 with AJ as the winner.

8. Randy Orton won the 2017 Royal Rumble match. The final four was Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, and Chris Jericho. Orton eliminated Reigns last to win the Rumble.
-> the creative department missed the chance for real surprises like Samoa Joe or Finn Balor or Nakamura or Roode. Lame winner with Orton. Bray Wyatt would be a better winner for battle against Cena at WrestleMania. Orton just sucks badly. 8 of 10 points.

WWE Royal Rumble 2017 predictions

Here are my predictions for tonights WWE PPV:

PreShow:

1. Sasha Banks vs Nia Jax
Guess: My guess is they'll be making this a relatively quick match so they can have another one at Fastlane before incorporating this feud into a Fatal 4-Way for the title with Charlotte and Bayley at WrestleMania.
PREDICTION: Nia Jax wins to preserve her "monster heel" status.

2. RAW Tag Titles: Cesaro and Sheamus (c) vs Gallows and Anderson
Guess: Two referees will be ringside for this match as the special stipulation behind it. I'm inclined to believe that the titles will change hands here as Gallows and Anderson haven't been announced for the Royal Rumble match, but Sheamus and Cesaro have. This is making me think they lose the titles and then eliminate each other during the Royal Rumble, breaking up the Cesaro/Sheamus duo, which would also probably mean they have a match against each other at Fastlane. Or, WWE simply has them retain and none of that happens at all.
PREDICTION: New tag team champions are crowned.

3. Six Woman SD Live Tag match: Lynch, Bella and Naomi vs Bliss, James and Natalya
guess: Very glad to see these women on the card, as it made no sense to me why the entire SmackDown women's roster would be ignored. Since nothing is on the line here, either team could win.
PREDICTION: Flip a coin. When I did, it came up heads, so let's say the babyfaces are victorious.

MainShow:

WWE Cruiserweight Title: Rich Swann (c) vs Neville
Guess: Pretty much the moment Neville put the division on notice, this seemed like the direction WWE was going. It seems weird to root for a title change so quickly as we've already had TJ Perkins and Brian Kendrick on top of Rich Swann over the course of just a few months, but I'm really digging Neville as a heel much more than Swann, so I know who I'm hoping comes out on top here. As far as a prediction goes, though, I'm not as willing to say the title will change hands. I have a feeling there's enough going on at this event that they don't want to see it get buried necessarily, so I could see them holding off and having Neville win the title on 205 Live or at Fastlane instead.
PREDICTION: Rich Swann retains here.

WWE RAW Womans Title: Charlotte (c) vs Bayley
Guess: I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'm done with Charlotte. I don't care anymore. She'll probably move on to a feud with Bayley and I won't pay much attention to any of it because I'd rather see Bayley against Sasha Banks, or maybe Emmalina, or pretty much anybody else. I've had more than my fill of Charlotte's same promo she cuts every week.
PREDICTION: Charlotte retains as she always wins on pay-per-views.

WWE Universal Title: Kecin Owens (c) vs Roman Reigns
Guess: In any scenario, I was really hoping for Owens to face Jericho at WrestleMania for the Universal Championship and now that Reigns has lost the United States title to Y2J, it's making me extremely nervous that we'll see a new champion here just to set up Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns being for a most prestigious belt. I really, REALLY hope WWE isn't stupid enough to do that. Reigns and Strowman could have been for the US title and people would have been okay with that, and they can't possibly think that's the bigger match to sell to audiences than the implosion of JeriKO—but just because it seems ridiculously stupid doesn't mean WWE is incapable of falling victim to such a poor booking strategy. It's happened before and it could happen again here.
PREDICTION: Sadly Reigns will win the universal Title.

WWE World Title: AJ Styles (c) vs John Cena
guess: I've flip-flopped on this so many times as WWE keeps changing things up. As of now, I think Samoa Joe will interfere in this match to cost John Cena the win, starting a feud between those two which will lead into WrestleMania. AJ Styles will retain the title both here and in the Elimination Chamber, meaning he'll go on to fight The Undertaker at WrestleMania, as I think The Phenom is winning the Royal Rumble match.
PREDICTION: AJ Styles retains the title.

2017 Royal Rumble MATCH
Guess: there are 6 free spots so there will be some surprises. I hope for Finn Balor and Samoa Joe maybe some TNA leftover as well. Jericho has a good chance to win. The Undertaker too. Bray Wyatt would be awesome but never happen.

NXT TakeOver San Antonio 2017 predictions

NXT Championship Match
Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Bobby Roode

Guess: My gut is telling me Nakamura will retain in a fashion that will set up Roode getting another shot in Orlando where he'll take the title. Nakamura retains.

NXT Women’s Championship Fatal 4-Way Match
Asuka (c) vs. Billie Kay vs. Peyton Royce vs. Nikki Cross

Guess: It's too early to push Ember Moon, who I think will end up being the one to take the belt off Asuka, and while this isn't a match to get super excited about, it should be at least halfway decent. I'm very curious how the dynamics of the match will work, though. If they can't sort that out, it could be a mess. Asuka retains too.

NXT Tag Team Championship Match
#DIY (c) vs. The Authors of Pain w/Paul Ellering

Guess: I wouldn't be shocked at all to see The Authors of Pain take the titles here, but it isn't a guarantee. They're undefeated, so it seems like the outcome that should happen, but Gargano and Ciampa just won these belts. That being said, they could be transitional champions. If The Authors of Pain win, #DIY can just get a rematch in Orlando, but I could also see this being a case where Akam and Rezar get disqualified or something to stretch this feud out. Authors of Pain will win this one.

Tye Dillinger vs. Eric Young

Guess: This should be Eric Young's win.

Roderick Strong vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas

Guess: I'm actually surprised WWE decided to announce this for TakeOver. and that they booked Roderick Strong like a babyface, which seemed to be the intention when he was paired up with Austin Aries. I assume the injury Aries suffered changed those plans. Strong will win in the end.

Maybe there will be a 6th match between

Elias Samson vs. No Way Jose

Guess: No Way will win this match if its gonna happen.

WWE Smackdown Live results 24.1.17

(c) wwe

1. Randy Orton defeated Luke Harper. Bray Wyatt watched from his rocking chair at ringside. Orton finally managed to hit the RKO and get the win.

— After the match, Wyatt got in the ring and shook hands with Orton. He offered Harper a hand, helped him up, embraced him, and then give him the Sister Abigail. Orton and Wyatt left Harper in the ring and departed together.

— Mickie James came to the ring for an interview with Renee Young. She explained her actions from last week, saying that she may have been gone from WWE, but she never stopped watching. She’s tired of everyone saying they’re the women’s revolution and forgetting her accomplishments. She says Alexa Bliss was the only one who remembered her, and thanks to Alexa, she’s here to teach everyone a lesson. Becky Lynch came to the ring and chased James, but Bliss suckerpunched Lynch from the crowd and she and Mickie beat Lynch down in the ring.

— Carmella and James Ellsworth went on their shopping spree, and she gave him a wardrobe makeover that made him look a lot like Carmella herself.

2. Mojo Rawley won a Battle Royal for a spot in the Royal Rumble. Baron Corbin sat in on commentary for this match. The participants were Breezango, The Ascension, Heath Slater and Rhyno, the Vaudevillains, and Curt Hawkins. Rawley won by last eliminating both Fandango and Tyler Breeze.

— AJ Styles came to the ring and complained about his placement on the Royal Rumble poster, then called out John Cena. Cena came out and Styles complained about what Cena said about him on Today, and said that he’s been in charge since Cena has been gone, and nobody missed him. He called Cena a sorry excuse for a wrestler, and asked what he has to do to earn Cena’s respect. Cena said he has no idea what it’s like to be disrespected. He ran Styles down and says he earns every day, and shuts every mouth. He doesn’t give a damn about a poster, he gives a damn about Sunday. He said Styles is just a guy holding onto the championship, because Cena lets him.

3. Dolph Ziggler defeated Kalisto. Ziggler won by pinfall in a short match following a superkick. After the match, he threatened to attack Kalisto with a chair, but JBL stood up to him. Apollo Crews came to ringside and stopped Ziggler, then sent him packing up the ramp.

— Naomi made a return from her ankle injury and was supposed to have a match against Natalya, but Natalya got jumped backstage by Nikki Bella. Naomi got on the microphone and said it isn’t going down like that. She challenged someone, anyone, from the back to come out and fight her. Alexa Bliss’ music hit and she came out, but she said she wasn’t here to answer any challenge, and pretended not to even know who Naomi is. Naomi dared her to get in the ring and said she’s the next women’s champion. Bliss faked getting in the ring and said Naomi isn’t worth her time. Then she left.

4. Intercontinental Championship Lumberjack Match: Dean Ambrose (c) defeated The Miz. All of the lumberjacks ended up brawling with each other and then left. Ambrose then hit the Dirty Deeds for the pin to retain the title.
