NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia predictions

Here are my predictions for tonights NXT TakeOver from Phily:


NXT Championstitel Match
Andrade “Cien” Almas (c) vs. Johnny Gargano
-> Andrade will keep his title because the returning Tommaso Ciampa who will cause a distraction and the loss for Johnny Wrestling. 


 
Extreme Rules Match
Aleister Black vs. Adam Cole
-> not really sure if this could end in a no contest. But a loss is a failure for both of them.


NXT Women's Championtitl Match
Ember Moon (c) vs. Shayna Baszler
-> Ember will keep her title because Shayna just sucks. Her NXT run is just a favor for Ronda Rousey.


NXT Tag Team Championtitel Match
The Undisputed ERA (c) vs. The Authors of Pain
 -> UE will keep their titles - maybe by a run in from SANITY. Maybe another WARGAMES on the horizon for these 3 teams.


Kassius Ohno vs. Velveteen Dream
-> after 2 great matches against Black and Gargano its now time to win this one by Valveteen Dream.

WWE RAW 25th anniversary results



WWE Raw 25 Results:

– The show opened with Stephanie and Shane McMahon presenting a commemorative plaque to Vince McMahon for 25 years of Raw. Vince complained about the plaque and ran his mouth until Stone Cold Steve Austin appeared. Vince tried to back down from the inevitable Stunner, and told Austin to beat up Shane instead. Austin hit a Stone Cold Stunner on Shane, gave Vince a Stone Cold Stunner as well, and then gave Shane a second Stunner.

1. Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James and Asuka defeated Absolution, Alicia Fox and Nia Jax. Banks won the match for her team by submission with a Banks Statement on Fox. After the match, an impromptu “battle royal” broke out, which Asuka won.

– Kurt Angle had a backstage segment including cameos from Jonathan Coachman, Harvey Wippleman, The Brooklyn Brawler, Brother Love, Teddy Long and the Boogeyman.

– The Undertaker cut a promo about his legacy.

– WWE paid tribute to former General Manager characters, bringing out John Laurinaitis, William Regal, Eric Bischoff and current Smackdown GM Daniel Bryan. The Miz made his entrance for his Intercontinental Championship match and had a staredown with Bryan.

2. Intercontinental Championship Match: The Miz defeated Roman Reigns (c). The Miztourage interfered multiple times, allowing The Miz to expose one of the turnbuckles. Reigns missed a spear and crashed into the exposed buckle, and the Miz followed up with a Skull-crushing Finale to win the match and become an 8-time Intercontinental Champion.

– Christian make a surprise appearance to host an episode of “The Peep Show,” with guests Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins. The Bar interrupted, and a fight broke out, ending with Rollins accidentally hitting Jordan with a springboard knee.

– Ric Flair and Charlotte Flair made an appearance, and woo’d.

3. Bray Wyatt defeated Matt Hardy. Wyatt pinned Hardy with Sister Abigail.

– WWE paid tribute to “female trailblazers” by bringing out the Bella Twins, Maryse, Lilian Garcia, Maria Kanellis, Jacqueline, Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool, Torrie Wilson, Terri Runnels, and Trish Stratus.

– Chris Jericho appeared in a backstage segment with Elias, playing a song about how he just made The List.

– Elias played a song in the ring and insulted celebrity guest star Jimmy Fallon. Fallon was there per a bet made on The Tonight Show. John Cena interrupted and challenged Elias to a fight. Elias hit him with a low blow and bashed him with a guitar.

– Heath Slater lost a bunch of money in a gigantic poker game that eventually included Rhyno, the APA, the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, the Usos, MVP, Jeff Hardy, Natalya, New Day and Titus Worldwide. Dana Brooke accused Slater of cheating, which set up a tag team match. DiBiase won the game. Ron Simmons said “damn.”

– Mark Henry flirted with The Godfather’s wife.

4. Heath Slater and Rhyno vs. Titus Worldwide was a no contest when the Dudley Boyz came to the ring. Everyone threw Slater into the ring to take a “wassup” headbutt and a 3-D through a table.

– Mean Gene Okerlund made a guest appearance to interview AJ Styles.

– Triple H and Shawn Michaels made an appearance at the Manhattan Center to thank fans for supporting Raw. They were joined by the New Age Outlaws, X-Pac and Scott Hall. The Bálor Club also joined the group to “too sweet” them. That led to the final match of the night:

5. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defeated The Revival. After the match, everyone did their signature moves to The Revival.

– The final segment of the show saw Kurt Angle bring the competitors for the Universal Championship triple threat to the ring, with other superstars and legends acting as “lumberjacks.” Brock Lesnar hit Kane with an F-5, and then Braun Strowman put Lesnar through the announce table with a running powerslam.

WWE Smackdown Live Results 1/16/18

1. United States Championship Tournament Semi-Final Match: Jinder Mahal defeated Xavier Woods. The Singh Brothers interfered and BIg E and Kofi Kingston chased them off. Woods missed a top rope elbow, then Mahal hit Khallas to get the pin.


2. United States Championship Tournament Semi-Final Match: Bobby Roode defeated Mojo Rawley. Roode picked up the pinfall victory with the Glorious DDT.

— After the match, the Singh Brothers hit the ring and beat down Bobby Roode. Jinder Mahal cut a promo from the ramp and said he will put a glorious end to Roode next week. Roode offered to have the tournament finals tonight, but Mahal declined. Daniel Bryan then appeared and announced the finals would indeed take place tonight.

3. The Riott Squad defeated Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Charlotte Flair. Ruby Riott kicked Naomi in the face behind the referee’s back, then Liv Morgan hit the Codebreaker on Naomi for the pin.

4. United States Championship Tournament Finals: Bobby Roode defeated Jinder Mahal. Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan were both at ringside for this match, and the Singh Brothers were barred. Roode reversed the Khallas into the Glorious DDT to get the win and the vacant championship.

WWE Raw Results 1/15/18

1. Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews defeated The Bar. Crews rolled up Sheamus with a schoolboy pin after Jason Jordan came out to distract Sheamus and Cesaro. Seth Rollins angrily confronted Jason Jordan after the match.

— Enzo Amore came out with Tony Nese and ran down Cedric Alexander. Alexander and Goldust came out and retorted, and both promised Alexander would be the next WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

2. Cedric Alexander defeated Tony Nese. Alexander won by pinfall after hitting the Lumbar Check.


3. Asuka defeated Nia Jax. Asuka was awarded the victory via referee stoppage after Jax’s knee was injured too much to continue the match. Alexa Bliss came to ringside to check on Jax after the match.

4. The Revival defeated Aaron Solow and Ricky Starks. The Revival won by pinfall after hitting Starks with the Shatter Machine.

— After the match, The Revival scoffed at Raw’s 25th anniversary and said they’re not sports entertainers, they’re wrestlers, and they’re going to set the tone for the next 25 years.

— Elias played a song to introduce Miz and the Miztourage. Miz says his return last week felt awesome, and he called out Roman Reigns for a handicap match against Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas.

5. Handicap Match: Roman Reigns defeated Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. Reigns pinned Axel after a spear.

6. Sonya Deville defeated Sasha Banks. Deville caught Banks with a roundhouse kick to the stomach as Banks came off the second rope and scored the pin.

7. Matt Hardy defeated Heath Slater. Hardy won by pinfall with the Twist of Fate.

8. Seth Rollins. defeated Finn Bálor. The Bar and Jason Jordan got involved in the match. Jordan tripped Bálor, and Rollins hit the Blackout curb stomp to get the pin.

WWE Smackdown Results – 1/9/18

1. Becky Lynch vs. Ruby Riott
Charlotte Flair and Naomi are joining Lynch at ringside.
Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan are joining Riott at ringside.
Becky with a headlock early on Riott pushing her into the ropes. Becky pulls Riott up off the ropes. Logan swipes at the feet of Becky to distract her. Becky then launches Riott through the ropes into Logan and Morgan at ringside quickly.

We return live to see Riott with her legs wrapped around the body of Becky to keep her grounded. Becky with a springboard kick to Riott in the corner. Riott throws a quick knee to the ribs of Becky. Becky with a roll up for a two count. Becky throws big elbows. Becky with an uppercut, kick and overhead exploder. Becky gets her armbar locked on. Riott taps.

Winner: Becky Lynch

2. The Bludgeon Brothers vs. The Ascension
The Ascension jumps Harper right as the bell rings. Harper with a big boot leveling Viktor and a kick to Konnor sending him to the outside. Tag to Rowan who is slapped by Harper and launched into Viktor in the corner. Rowan lifts Viktor up onto the shoulders of Harper who drops Viktor down with a powerful sitdown powerbomb to pick up the quick win.

Winners: The Bludgeon Brothers
 

3. WWE United States Championship Tournament
First Round Match
Zack Ryder vs. Mojo Rawley
Lock up and Mojo launches Ryder at the corner. Ryder fires back with a big dropkick. Mojo quickly rolls out of the ring. Back inside, Mojo dumps Ryder off the corner. Mojo chokes Ryder and throws him repeatedly at the corner. Ryder catches Mojo with a neckbreaker. Ryder hits an elbow on Mojo and follows with a kick to the face. Ryder with repeated elbows to Mojo driving him down in the corner. Ryder attempts his boot in the corner, Mojo moves and Ryder eventually connects with a kick to Mojo on the outside. Back inside, Ryder chops Mojo. Mojo with an inverted atomic drop and launches Ryder shoulder first into the steel post. Mojo with an elbow to the back of the neck. Mojo hits the ropes and connects with a huge elbow to the head. Mojo hooks the leg and gets the pinfall.
Mojo Rawley has advanced to the second round and will face Bobby Roode.

Winner and Advancing: Mojo Rawley


4. Breezango vs. Rusev Day (Rusev and Aiden English)

Rusev Day proclaims the Royal Rumble as the “Rusev Rumble” before the match and announce they will both be involved in the 30 Man Men’s match.
We start with Aiden English and Tyler Breeze. Breeze quickly tosses English out.

Back live, Fandango gets the tag, chops away at English and English tags in Rusev. Fandango with a dropkick to English. Rusev with tons of shots on Fandango, finishing it off with a spinning kick off the ropes. Rusev dumps Breeze out of the ring, catches Fandango and Breeze dropkicks Rusev. Fandango rolls up Rusev for the win!

Winners: Breezango


5. 3 on 2 Handicap Match
No Count Out, No DQ, Anything Goes Rules
WWE Champion AJ Styles, Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn
Styles grabs a chair, hits Owens in the ribs and cracks it over the back of Owens. Styles again cracks it over the back of Owens. Owens is back up and Styles again cracks the chair over his back. Styles and Owens head to the backstage area.
At ringside, Nakamura is walking down Zayn and Owens is on the otherwise. Zayn is trying to run away when Orton and Nakamura grab him. They send him face first into the steel ring post. Orton is grabbing the top of the steel steps and hits Zayn in the head.
Orton then picks up Zayn and back drops him off the announce table! The table doesn’t break as Zayn screams out in pain. Orton tosses Zayn back inside the ring. Nakamura connects with the Kinshasa. Orton with an RKO on Zayn and gets the pinfall.

Winners: WWE Champion AJ Styles, Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura

WWE Raw Results 1/8/18

1. Sasha Banks and Bayley defeated Mandy Rose and Sonya DeVille. Banks tapped out Rose with a Banks Statement.

2. “Woken” Matt Hardy defeated Curt Hawkins. Hardy has a new entrance theme, and won with a Twist of Fate. After the match, Hardy and Bray Wyatt laughed at each other.

– The Miz returned and cut a promo about how he’s coming for Roman Reigns’ Intercontinental Championship.

3. Cruiserweight Championship Match: Cedric Alexander defeated Enzo Amore (c) by count-out. Amore appeared to get injured on a Cedric Alexander dive, causing him to be counted out. Alexander wins the match, but Amore is still the champion.

4. Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews defeated The Bar. Sheamus tried to Brogue Kick Apollo Crews, but Crews avoided it. O’Neil was able to roll up Sheamus from behind and score the upset victory.


5. Samoa Joe defeated Rhyno. Joe won by submission with the Coquina Clutch. After the match, Joe promised to eliminate John Cena in the Royal Rumble.

– Nia Jax attacked Asuka from behind before a match could begin, leaving her lying. Later in the show, Nia Jax vs. Asuka was announced for next week.

6. Finn Bálor, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defeated Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan. Bálor’s group is now officially “Bálor Club.” Jason Jordan caused multiple distractions for his own team by trying to help, causing Seth Rollins to get hit with a shotgun dropkick and the Coup de Grace from Bálor.

After the match, the Miztourage jumped Reigns, Rollins and Jordan. The Miz took out Roman Reigns with a Skull-crushing Finale. The crowd chanted “one more time,” so The Miztourage also hit Reigns with a Shield Bomb.

1. Jason Jordan defeated Cesaro. Jordan picked a fight with Cesaro and Sheamus, but Jordan’s new tag team championship partner Seth Rollins came to the ring to be in his corner. Rollins fought off Sheamus, allowing Jordan to hit a backdrop into a neckbreaker for the win.

2. Bray Wyatt defeated Apollo Crews. Wyatt pinned Crews after a Sister Abigail. After the match, Matt Hardy showed up on the video screen to laugh again.

3. Asuka defeated Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss. Asuka won by submission with a cross arm-breaker.

4. Braun Strowman defeated Rhyno. Strowman challenged Heath Slater to get into the ring, then powerslammed both members of the team for several minutes.

5. Intercontinental Championship Match: Roman Reigns (c) defeated Samoa Joe. A pre-match stipulation said that if Roman Reigns got disqualified, he’d lose the Intercontinental Championship. Reigns pinned Joe with a spear.

6. Cedric Alexander and Goldust defeated Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari. This was supposed to be Cedric Alexander challenging Enzo Amore for the Cruiserweight Championship, but the Zo Train revealed that Enzo is missing the show with the flu. This leads to a tag team match, with Goldust teaming with Cedric for some reason. Alexander pinned Gulak after a Lumbar Check.


7. Finn Bálor, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defeated Elias, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. Before the match, the Miztourage sang a New Year’s song and revealed The Miz would be back on Raw next week. Bálor won the match with a Coup de Grace on Dallas.
– Paul Heyman cut a promo about how Brock Lesnar would win the Universal Championship match at Royal Rumble. Kane interrupted him, and Kane and Lesnar had a pull-apart brawl.
