WWE SummerSlam 2015 Results and REVIEW

1. Sheamus defeated Randy Orton. Sheamus pinned Orton after multiple Brogue Kicks.

->  match was ok but not a good choice for an opener. Really nobody in the area cared about the match. Right winner for my taste. 6/10 points.

2. Tag Team Championship Match: The New Day defeated The Prime Time Players (c), Los Matadores and Lucha Dragons to become the new Tag Team Champions. Kofi Kingston blind-tagged Titus O’Neil during a Tower of Doom, then snuck in and covered Fernando to win the match.

-> pretty good 4 way tag match. New Day is really over with the fans so the victory is best for business. 8 of 10 points. 

3. Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev ended in a double count-out. After the match, Summer Rae and Lana got into a catfight and had to be pulled apart.

->  the match was ok but not as good as I hoped. With the double count out finish there will be another match. 6 of 10 points.

4. Neville and Stephen Amell defeated Stardust and King Barrett. Amell hit a big dive to the outside, allowing Neville to hit Barrett with a Red Arrow for the win.

-> Amell did a good job inside a WWE ring. Liked that. Hope for a 1 on 1 between Amell and Stardust in the near future. 7 of 10 points.

5. Intercontinental Championship Match: Ryback (c) defeated The Miz and Big Show. Big Show hit Miz with a KO punch. Ryback clotheslined Show out of the ring, then pinned Miz.

 -> lame as always if Ryback is involved. Big Show looked bored all the time and The Miz is so underrated in this feud. 5 of 10 points.

6. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose defeated Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper. Reigns pinned Wyatt after a spear.

-> hoped for a turn of Roman Reigns against Dean Ambrose because Reigns is much better as a Heel these days. Good match from the Wyatts and Ambrose but way to short. 7 of 10 points.

7. Winner Take All for the WWE World Heavyweight and United States Championships: Seth Rollins defeated John Cena to become the new United States Champion. Cena had the match won, but the referee was knocked out. Jon Stewart ran out with a steel chair, hit Cena in the stomach and placed it in the ring so Rollins could Pedigree Cena onto it.

 -> match of the evening and THANK GOD the right winner. 9 of 10 points.

8. Team PCB defeated Team B.A.D. and Team Bella. Becky Lynch pinned Brie Bella to win the match for her team.

-> this is NOT a DIVAS REVOLUTION match at all. Look at the NXT Womans TITLE match one night before SummerSlam - THIS IS WOMANS WRESTLING!!!!! PCB wins. But with the Bellas around there is no great womans match possible. Give the title to Charlotte or Sasha Banks for some great matches. 7 of 10 points.

9. Kevin Owens defeated Cesaro. Owens pinned Cesaro after a pop-up powerbomb.

 -> Close to the match of the evening but just the start for a great feud to come. Really liked the match and the ending. 8 of 10 points.

10. The Undertaker defeated Brock Lesnar. Lesnar had Undertaker in a Kimura Lock when the bell rang, but the official hadn’t called for the bell. During the distraction, Undertaker hit Lesnar with a low blow and locked him in the Hell’s Gate submission. Lesnar held up his middle finger, but passed out in the submission. A post-match replay revealed that Undertaker had tapped in the Kimura.

-> As everybody knew the Taker will win this match and they will be battleing for a third time. So no surprise at all at the end. 7 of 10 points.

==> one match less ( Orton vs Sheamus to the KICK OFF show ) and more time to the DIVAS and Tag matches would be a better option for the EVENT of the SUMMER.

WWE SummerSlam 2015 PPV Predictions

Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar

This will be a huge match, but is it really the match that this card deserves right now? I hate sounding negative, particularly with my second favorite performer of all time (Undertaker) being at the event in such a rare appearance, but I feel like this is too late to fully capitalize on the feud between these two. Undertaker lost at WrestleMania. That's done, over with, and nothing will rewrite that history. If he wins at SummerSlam, it's for nothing. If he loses, why did they bother to do this anyway? I'm just not as thrilled about this as I should be, even though I do think it will be much better than their previous encounter and it should be fun. There will be a third match between them at next years WrestleMania, I´m sure.

PREDICTION: Undertaker wins.

[Title Unification Match]: Seth Rollins (WWE World Heavyweight Champion) vs. John Cena (United States Champion)

I have no idea why WWE is doing this match, whatsoever. I'm glad that it's a unification (or at least, seems like that's what they're doing), instead of just ignoring the United States title and having Cena get a title shot, but still...whaaaaaat? John Cena wasn't my top choice to fight Rollins, nor was this the direction I thought the United States title should go. If Rollins wins the US title, it better be eradicated, because it'll get lost in the shuffle. If Cena wins, I'll be shocked, and I don't think he's the right choice for the world title ESPECIALLY without having another midcard champion to offset it. I don't know what WWE's end game is here, but I really hope this isn't some dumb scenario where there's a draw and they avoid pulling the trigger on getting rid of the US title.

PREDICTION: Seth Rollins retains and somehow doesn't win the United States title.

[WWE Intercontinental Championship]: Ryback (c) vs. Big Show vs. The Miz

This feud has been dragged out so much. At Money in the Bank, it literally was just a stall to take up time before Battleground. With Ryback's staph infection, the match didn't happen at Battleground, either. If it doesn't happen at SummerSlam due to some kind of complication, WWE needs to just abandon it. I'm not as excited about it as I was before, but I'm still kind of intrigued and I think it could be decent.

PREDICTION: Ryback retains.

Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper

It's a shame Erick Rowan isn't healed from his injuries and able to participate in this. It would have been cool to see a third person team up with Ambrose and Reigns, particularly if it were Sting. That being said, I hope this match makes up for it by having a stipulation attached where these four guys can beat the crap out of each other. This won't be anywhere near as good if it isn't No Disqualification.

PREDICTION: Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose win.

[WWE Tag Team Championship]: The Prime Time Players (c) vs. The New Day vs. The Lucha Dragons vs. Los Matadores

WWE must have had the mentality of tossing everyone into the mix like they do at WrestleMania, which I'm okay with, as with The Prime Time Players holding the titles, there aren't any good challengers for this to be just two teams. Poor Ascension—even in a match with pretty much every tag team in the company, they get ignored. This should be a fun match but ultimately nothing but filler, as I don't expect the title to change hands or anything important to happen. I'd love to see The New Day get the belts back or Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady to make their debut on the main roster and win them soon, but I'm expecting PTP to keep it until The Wyatt Family (either Harper and Wyatt, Harper and Rowan, or Harper and a new member) take it from them at Night of Champions.

PREDICTION: The champions retain.

[Elimination Match]: Team Bella vs. Team BAD vs. Team PCB

This was obvious, isn't it? Also, isn't it obvious that this should be quite awesome, too? Also, what a dumb fucking name, "Team PaigeCharlotteBecky". That's not a team name. That's just the three people listed without a space between their names. Come on, WWE, you can do better than that. Just for that lack of effort, I hope this match goes to Team BAD, but PCB has been pretty dominant so far, so I expect them to just win it anyway. Making it an elimination match makes me think that Team Bella will be taken out first, but it could be Team BAD that takes the first hit, too.

PREDICTION: Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch win.

Stephen Amell & Neville vs. Stardust & King Barrett

The Green Arrow and The Red Arrow versus Stardust and...well, King Barrett is randomly thrown in there, but cool! I'm a big fan of the show Arrow, Stephen Amell's the man, Neville's fun to watch in the ring, Cody Rhodes is massively underrated and I'm a big fan of Barrett as well, so I can't see anything but positives about this.

PREDICTION: Neville and Amell win.

Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro

This is my match of the evening. Hope for a 15 - 20 minute timeslot to be something great.

PREDICTION: Cesaro wins.

Randy Orton vs. Sheamus

I'm not looking forward to a generic singles match between these two. Lame. Waste of time.

PREDICTION: Sheamus wins.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev

I'm very glad to see that they've re-added this match to the card, after it seemed like it was removed from the plans earlier this month. These two have been feuding for too long not to have them meet up here, cause Night of Champions is just dragging it past the point where anybody would care. It's unfortunate that Lana and Summer Rae can't be added in to make this a mixed tag match (and for it to be any good in that capacity), but at least it should make for a decent breather match nonetheless. Ziggler is one of the best in the ring and Rusev...well...Ziggler can likely get a good match out of him.

PREDICTION: Dolph Ziggler wins.

NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn Results

1. Jushin Thunder Liger defeated Tyler Breeze. Breeze’s entrance involved models dressed like New York monuments, including the Statue of Liberty. Liger got the pinfall after a running Liger Bomb.

2. NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Vaudevillains defeated Blake & Murphy (c) to become the new Tag Team Champions. The Vaudevillains’ plan to counter Alexa Bliss was Blue Pants, who prevented Bliss from interfering. The Villains hit the Whirling Dervish to win the NXT Tag Team Championships.

3. Apollo Crews defeated Tye Dillinger. This was Crews’ debut. He pinned Dillinger after a press slam into a standing moonsault.

– William Regal announced the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament, with the finals taking place at the next TakeOver event on October 7.

4. Samoa Joe defeated Baron Corbin. Joe won a back-and-forth match by submission with a Coquina Clutch.

5. NXT Women’s Championship Match: Bayley defeated Sasha Banks (c) to become the new NXT Women’s Champion. Bayley followed up a reverse hurricanrana from the top rope with a Belly-to-Bayley to become the 4th NXT Women’s Champion. After the match, Charlotte and Becky Lynch joined them in the ring for a “curtain call” for NXT’s “Four Horsewomen.”

– Triple H announced that in December, NXT will head to the UK.

6. Ladder Match for the NXT Championship: Finn Bálor (c) defeated Kevin Owens. Bálor hit a Coup de Grace from the top of a ladder. That kept Owens down long enough for Bálor to climb the ladder and pull down the NXT Championship.

NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn predictions

Here are my predictions about tonights NXT TakeOver show from Brooklyn

NXT Championship Ladder Match
Finn Bálor (c) vs. Kevin Owens

->  This is a rematch of their excellent NXT Title match on July 4 in Tokyo when Balor beat Owens clean to win the gold. That was a predictable title change just because of Owens becoming a full timer on the main roster. Now it’s a Ladder Match in front of the biggest NXT crowd ever, so it will definitely have a special feel to it with Balor’s “Demon” entrance in a bigger arena. For Owens, it’s a huge weekend because he’s main eventing this show and then on Sunday he’s facing Cesaro at SummerSlam. This is probably going to be a physical match with the ladder being used as a weapon too, so the big man will be put to the test this weekend for sure.

If Balor loses the title in his first major defense that won’t look good for him. WWE needs a guy like him to be the face of NXT at least in the short term because there aren’t that many other options that are as over as him. With that said, losing the title is very possible. It’s definitely possible that Owens will win because he’s a top heel that is great as a champion and I think that’s why he will win even though I like Balor a lot too. There are some concerns about the future because there aren’t top heels really ready for Balor while Owens can have feuds with faces like Samoa Joe and Hideo Itami when Itami comes back.

This is probably going to be the longest match on the show, the best match on the show and the one that people talk about the most after it’s over. Everything is in place for them to have an outstanding title match to get people even more excited about NXT. Considering how talented they are, they should deliver that classic ladder match that most of us are expecting.
Winner And New NXT Champion: Kevin Owens

NXT Women’s Championship Match
Sasha Banks (c) vs. Bayley

-> Banks probably won’t get booed by the Brooklyn fans just because of how awesome she is. They will appreciate her talent and cheer her just for being there. Banks is a great champion, but if WWE doesn’t want her carrying the NXT Women’s Title on Raw and Smackdown, why keep it on her?
The contract signing segment they had on this week’s NXT show was outstanding. Bayley showed me a lot there. She’s not just a happy, go lucky babyface – she can bring the fire too. That’s the kind of thing that will make her successful long term. Banks has had a really good reign for the past six months, but it ends here. Bayley gets the win for her first NXT Women’s Title in what should be an awesome moment for her. The match quality should be really good too.

NXT Tag Team Championship Match
Blake & Murphy (c) vs. The Vaudevillains

-> It feels like the right time and place for a tag title change. The Vaudevillains deserve it and I hope it’s Blue Pants that is the woman that is with them just because of how silly it would be.
Most importantly, these young teams with bright futures have the potential to have a really good tag match because they have built up a solid chemistry. Winners And New Tag Team Champions: The Vaudevillains

Jushin “Thunder” Liger vs. Tyler Breeze


->  As cool as it is to see Liger in WWE, Breeze is a future star that should get the win. They will probably get around 10 minutes, the crowd will love seeing Liger there and it wouldn’t surprise me if there was even a standing ovation out of respect. Hopefully Liger can be brought back again, but if this is his only WWE showing then at least it will be memorable. Winner: Tyler Breeze

Samoa Joe vs. Baron Corbin


->  Since Joe is likely going to be a main eventer in NXT very soon, so he should get the win. Putting him with Corbin should be good for Corbin just because of Joe’s experience and talent. Working with Joe will make Corbin better and that’s one of the great things about NXT. They have a nice mix of younger guys to along with the experienced vets that have thrived all over the world.
If Corbin gets the win it will be because they want to keep the feud going. I just think it would be foolish to have Joe lose after he was brought in as a big deal a few months ago. Joe gets the clean win here. Winner: Samoa Joe

WWE Smackdown Results - 8/20/15 - Eight Man Tag Match

WWE Intercontinental Champion Ryback vs. Big Show
The match begins with Ryback firing punches at Show. He forces Show into the corner but Show counters with a he clothesline. Big Show slams Ryback. He taunts the crowd. Show kicks Ryback while he is down. Show hits another slam and covers for two. Show locks up Ryback in a sleeper hold. Ryback fights out and he hits the ropes. Off the ropes Ryback hits a huge shoulder block on Big Show. Big Show fights back but Ryback counters. Ryback goes for the Meathook but Big Show hits a spear on Ryback. Big Show kicks Ryback out of the ring. Ryback tries to slam Show but he counters. Ryback then hits a huge Meathook clothesline sending them both through the barricade. Both men lie on the ground in shambles surrounded by wires and barricades as the referee counts to ten.
Winner: No Contest (Double Count Out)

The New Day vs. Los Matadores & El Torito
The match begins with Xavier Woods taking out El Torito. Fernando takes it to Xavier Woods. Woods tags in Kofi. Kofi and Diego battle and Kofi is covered for a two count. Los Matadores use some great team work taking it to Kofi. Big E pulls Kofi out of the ring and to safety. El Torito makes a run at New Day but fakes them out spinning on the second rope.

Back from the break we see Woods tagging in Big E. Fernando is covered and he kicks out. New Day does their carousel of kicks in the corner. The two teams continue to battle back and forth. Diego gets the tag to El Torito and he hits a hurricanrana on Woods. Torito hits some slaps to Woods. Torito off the ropes with a shoulder block. Torito continues his dominance in the ring as he takes out Big E. He is caught by Woods but spins around on him like a spider taking Woods down for the pin. He gets a two count because Kofi comes in to break it up. Kofi rolls Torito out. Big E is back in the ring and hits a backbreaker on Torito. Big E then hits a big splash on the little bull and tags in Xavier Woods who pins Torito for the victory.
Winners: The New Day

Neville vs. Bo Dallas
The match begins with a lock up. Dallas has the upper hand early. He hits multiple knees on Neville and locks him up with a submission in the center of the ring. Neville fights out and goes up top. He hits Dallas off the top and rolls him up. Dallas rolls through and Neville kicks out. Neville hits a big kick to Dallas. Neville goes up top. He hits the Red Arrow and gets the pinfall victory.
Winner: Neville

Triple Threat Match
Brie Bella vs. Becky Lynch vs. NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks
The match begins with an onslaught of moves by each Diva. Back from the break, the three Diva’s are still battling. Brie goes into Brie Mode and takes Banks and Lynch out. Sasha Banks pins Brie and she kicks out. Sasha continues to take it to Brie. Becky Lynch comes in and takes it to the other Diva’s. They continue to battle back and forth with no one really gaining the upper hand until Brie takes out Sasha and rolls up Becky Lynch for the pinfall victory.
Winner: Brie Bella

 Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose & Cesaro vs. Sheamus, Bray Wyatt, Kevin Owens & Luke Harper
The match begins with Sheamus and Randy Orton. Orton goes straight for an RKO as Sheamus rolls out of the ring.

Back from the break, we see Kevin Owens standing off against Orton. They lock up. Cesaro tags himself in and he takes Owens straight up and suplexes him. Harper tags in and Ambrose comes in to take him on. Ambrose clotheslines Harper. Reigns tags in. Reigns kicks Harper but Harper tags in Bray Wyatt and he takes it to Roman Reigns. Reigns counters and Cesaro tags in. Cesaro takes Wyatt to the corner and hits multiple uppercuts. Harper tags in and he and Cesaro battle back and forth. Cesaro wants to go swinging but Owens comes in and interrupts. Wyatt is back in now. He hits Cesaro with a big splash in the corner. Sheamus tags in. Sheamus suplexes Cesaro. Owens comes in and takes Cesaro to the corner. He hits a cannonball on Cesaro and covers for two.

Sheamus hits Cesaro with a rolling slam. Bray Wyatt and Owens take turns giving Cesaro the business. Owens locks up Cesaro with a submission maneuver in the center of the ring. Cesaro fights but Sheamus hits him with a backbreaker. Sheamus is hit with a flying dropkick by Cesaro. He makes the tag to Reigns. Reigns takes down Sheamus. Reigns hits multiple clotheslines on Sheamus in the corner. He hits a drive by on Sheamus as he lay on the apron. Reigns hits Samoan drops to Sheamus and Owens. Sheamus rolls up Reigns and he kicks out. Reigns hits a Superman punch out of nowhere. Ambrose comes in and takes out Harper. He takes out Wyatt on the outside. He dives through the ropes and Harper is sent to the announce table. Ambrose hits the Atomic elbow on Harper. Sheamus Brogue kicks Ambrose. Orton Rko’s Sheamus. Wyatt comes in and sets up Orton for Sister Abigail. He sends Orton into Harper who hits him with a big boot. Reigns comes flying through and hits a spear on Wyatt. Harper superkicks Reigns. Ambrose is up now and hits dirty deeds. He covers Harper and gets the pinfall.

TNA Impact Wrestling Results - 8/19/15 (Turning Point)

Open Mic Challenge | Bram vs. Mr. Anderson
Mr. Anderson’s microphone dangles high above the ring as Anderson tackles Bram at the opening bell. The first man to gain control of the mic will be able to use it as a weapon in the Open Mic Challenge. Anderson positions a table just outside the ring – and then he delivers a Green Bay Plunge from the apron through the table! Anderson climbs a ladder as Bram struggles to crawl back into the ring. Bram tips the ladder, hanging Anderson on the top rope. Bram drops Anderson with the Brighter Side of Suffering. He teases grabbing the mic before deciding to ram Anderson face-first into the ladder. Bram tosses nearly a dozen chairs into the ring and attempts to connect with a second Brighter Side of Suffering. Anderson counters and whips Bram into the ladder. Anderson takes to the ladder, but he’s powerbombed onto the pile of chairs!
Bram retrieves the microphone. Anderson counters a mic shot with a Mic Check onto the chairs! He repeatedly clubs Bram with the mic before screaming his name in his trademark way. Anderson takes one last shot and then he makes the cover.
Result: Mr. Anderson def. Bram (via pinfall)

Handicap Six Sides of Steel | Dollhouse (Jade & Marti Bell) vs. Gail Kim
Gail Kim scores the first takedown with a double clothesline. Gail lands a dropkick that sends Jade into Marti Bell. The numbers advantage takes hold when the Dollhouse connects with a double high boot; Jade scores a near-fall. Gail locks Marti into an armbar; Jade forces the break. Jade drives Gail face-first into the cage and Marti applies a chin lock. Gail receives a dropkick to the jaw from Jade before the Dollhouse attempts their escape. Gail drives Jade’s face into the cage. She exchanges a series of elbows with Marti and then catches Jade with a hurricanrana from the top rope! Jade again drives Gail into the cage. She and Marti double team Gail in the corner. Gail counters, sending the Dollhouse to the mat. She climbs nearly to the top of the cage before connecting with a huge crossbody. Gail catches Jade and Marti with a bulldog/headscissor combination and scores a near-fall on a neckbreaker. Marti breaks the count. Gail counters a double suplex with a DDT. Gail appears poised to escape the cage when the fans cheer for her to continue punishing the Dollhouse. Gail delivers until being shoved from the top rope. Jade misses a dropkick and Gail ducks under a flying Marti Bell. Marti connects with Jade and then Gail makes her Eat Defeat.
Result: Gail Kim def. Dollhouse (via pinfall)

No Disqualification | Eli Drake vs. Drew Galloway
Eli Drake says he may have been the one responsible for the backstage assault last week. Then, before the opening bell, Drake assaults
Galloway. Galloway quickly gains control, fighting Drake to the outside. He delivers a snap suplex but then misses with a chair shot. Galloway drapes Drake across the stairs and then leaps from the guardrail for what looks like a crossbody. Drake moves and Galloway’s head connects with the stairs instead. Eli Drake drives a chair into Galloway’s ribs, shifting the momentum in his favor; Galloway’s rolled into the ring. A “Let’s go Drew” chant erupts after he’s tossed outside again. Drake jumps from the ring, catching Galloway with a stiff shot to the face. Galloway enjoys a brief flurry of offense, but it’s quelled when Drake drops him with a DDT onto a chair! Drake scores a near-fall. Eli Drake mounts a chair in the turnbuckle, but he winds up on the receiving end of the punishment. Galloway sends him face-first into the chair before introducing a table to the match. Drake baseball slides into Galloway and then he pulls a crutch from beneath the ring. Galloway dodges the first swing, but not the second after a low blow. Drake drapes Galloway across a table and heads to the top rope. Galloway counters, driving Drake through the table!
Result: Drew Galloway def. Eli Drake (via pinfall)

Singles Match | Tyrus vs. Matt Hardy
Tyrus uses his size advantage to overpower Matt Hardy. Tyrus delivers a slam that’s followed up with a splash from the middle rope. Hardy dodges a corner splash and connects with two Twists of Fate to secure the win.
Result: Matt Hardy def. Tyrus


TNA World Heavyweight Championship | Ethan Carter III (c) vs. PJ Black
Carter starts the match with a big kick to the gut, but he quickly finds himself outside the ring on the receiving end of two dropkicks and a corkscrew suicide dive. EC3 battles back with a huge series of chops followed by a big back elbow and camel clutch. EC3 drives Black’s face into the mat. PJ Black connects with a spinning heel kick that ultimately leads to a springboard splash and a two-count. Black scales the turnbuckle, possibly in search of a 450 splash, but Carter counters with a superplex! PJ Black kicks out just before three and then battles back with a springboard moonsault off the top rope; EC3 is out of the pin attempt! Black attempts a second springboard moonsault, but Carter rolls through with a schoolboy that he turns into a sit-out powerbomb! Black counters a One Percenter with a powerbomb of his own, eliciting a “Let’s Go PJ/Let’s Go Carter” chant. Black and Carter trade blows; Black gets the better of the exchange. Black connects with an impressive springboard 450 splash! Carter just kicks out before three! PJ Black drags EC3 closer to a turnbuckle and he is poised for a final 450 until EC3 drags him from the turnbuckle and delivers the One Percenter to retain his title.
Result: Ethan Carter III def. PJ Black (via pinfall)
