1. AJ Styles defeated Baron Corbin. This match featured Kevin Owens on commentary. Owens tried to get involved in the match but was kicked by Styles, who then got caught in a powerbomb attempt from Corbin, escaped and rolled up Corbin for the victory. Afterward, Owens and Corbin beat down Styles until Sami Zayn ran in for the save. Zayn took out Corbin with a Helluva Kick but was then thrown out by Owens, who also delivered a pop-up powerbomb to Styles.
2. Beat The Clock Match: American Alpha defeated the Colons. This was the first of two beat the clock tag team matches to determine a new No. 1 contender for Smackdown Tag Team Champions the Usos. American Alpha hit Grand Amplitude for the victory, setting the time to beat at 5:17.
— Rusev made his first appearance on Smackdown Live since the Superstar Shake-Up, commenting via pre-recorded video that he didn’t like Daniel Bryan or Shane McMahon, so the only way he would he compete on Smackdown Live is if he was given a championship match at Money In The Bank. If he didn’t get one, he would pack his bags and head back to Bulgaria.
— Backstage, Becky Lynch was asked about her feelings toward Charlotte. She was interrupted by Tamina, Natalya, Carmella and James Ellsworth, who warned that she was either with them or against them.
3. No Disqualification Match: Randy Orton defeated Erick Rowan. Rowan was the first competitor to take advantage of the no-DQ stipulation, attacking Orton with a kendo stick. Orton then gained control of the kendo stick and used it to put Rowan through a table set up at ringside. Later, Rowan attacked Orton with steel steps, but he ended up losing after Orton threw him into a steel chair wedged into the turnbuckle then connected with an RKO.
— After the match, Orton said he did not know what a House Of Horrors match was, but that he would find out this Sunday. Before he could leave the ring, however, Jinder Mahal came out and told him he was being overlooked and disrespected, saying Orton shouldn’t be worried about Bray Wyatt,
he should be worried about him. The two then came to blows, and Mahal gained the advantage with the help of the Bollywood Boyz. Mahal left the ring with the WWE World Championship in hand, climbing into an SUV limousine and driving away while hanging out of the sunroof holding the title.
4. Beat The Clock Match: Breezango defeated the Ascension. This was the second of two beat the clock tag team matches to determine a new No. 1 contender. Breezango scored the victory with 2:36 to spare, hitting a Supermodel Kick from Tyler Breeze followed by a Falcon Arrow from Fandango on Viktor. Breezango are your new No 1. contenders for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship.
5. Smackdown Women’s Championship Match: Naomi (c) NC Charlotte Flair. The main event was a competitive, back-and-forth affair with numerous nearfalls. The match came to an end when Tamina, Natalya and Carmella interfered, beating down both competitors, resulting in a no contest.
