The show opened with Seth Rollins addressing what happened on last
week’s episode. He accepts a match with Randy Orton at WrestleMania
under one condition: that Orton faces him on Raw tonight. Orton says he
knows it’ll be 5-on-1, but accepts.
1. Nikki Bella defeated AJ Lee. Brie Bella and Paige fought on the outside, causing a distraction and allowing Nikki to forearm and Rack Attack AJ for the win.
2. Ryback defeated The Miz. Miz said he’d fire
Damien Mizdow if he lost the match. During the match, Mizdow teased
hitting Miz, but didn’t. Ryback won with Shell Shocked.
Rusev and John Cena participated in a contract signing for
WrestleMania. Rusev insulted America (as he does) and Cena didn’t like
it. Rusev flipped the table and bailed, leaving Cena on edge and
confused as the Russian flag unfurled above him.
3. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd defeated The New Day.
Cesaro rolled up Kofi Kingston after a ducked Trouble In Paradise that
hit Kidd. After the match, Los Matadores got involved and attacked both
teams.
4. Big Show defeated Erick Rowan (?) Show dominated Rowan but there wasn’t a pinfall. The match just ended after Show hit an elbow off the second rope.
Larry Zbyszko was announced as the next entrant into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Paul Heyman cut another anti-Roman Reigns promo. He was
interrupted by Reigns himself, who says he can and will defeat Brock
Lesnar at WrestleMania.
Mark Henry won an impromptu battle royal featuring several of the
competitors in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at
WrestleMania, last eliminating Curtis Axel.
5. Dean Ambrose, Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler defeated Stardust, Luke Harper and Bad News Barrett.
Ambrose pinned Barrett with Dirty Deeds. After the match, more
“everybody’s trying to steal the Intercontinental Championship”
shenanigans occurred.
Bray Wyatt did another pre-taped promo about the Undertaker.
Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins never happened. Throughout the night,
various backstage interviews and moments showed The Authority giving up
on Rollins, being angry at him and sometimes quitting outright. This
turned out to be a plan to lure Orton into a false sense of security, as
the entire Authority (including Triple H) came to the ring to attack
him. Just before the attack began, the lights went out and Sting
appeared beside Orton. Sting and Orton fought off the Authority to end
the show.
