WWE Smackdown 3.10.14 review

Here are the results:

Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus def. The Miz and Damien Mizdow

The Miz will start the match against Sheamus. They circle the ring and lock up. Sheamus backs him to the corner and goes for a punch, but Miz ducks it. Miz taunts him as he circles the ring, and they lock up again. Miz knees him in the midsection and clubs away at him. Sheamus blocks a kick and pushes him back. Sheamus hits a running knee in the corner before attempting a short-arm clothesline, but Miz ducks and hits a back elbow. Miz quickly tags in Damien Mizdow, who runs into a powerslam for a near fall from Sheamus. Sheamus clubs him before sending him into the ropes, but he lowers his head and eats a kick. Mizdow charges, but Sheamus throws him to the apron. Sheamus goes to pick Mizdow up, but Miz runs in. Sheamus hits a back body drop out of the ring on Miz and goes for the 10 Beats of the Bodhrán on Mizdow, but Miz pulls him off the apron. Dolph Ziggler distracts them as Sheamus comes off the top rope with a diving double clothesline to the floor!

We come back from the break to see Sheamus punching Miz in the midsection. Miz ducks a right hand and hits the Reality Check for a near fall. Mizdow is tagged in, and he drops an elbow on Sheamus before kicking away at him. Mizdow punches away at him on the mat and drags him to the apron. Mizdow hits him with an elbow to the throat before covering for a one count. Mizdow applies a front face-lock as he tags in The Miz. Miz kicks Sheamus before ripping at his face. Miz kicks and punches him in the corner before rubbing his forearm in his face. Sheamus quickly comes out of the corner with a clothesline.

Ziggler and Mizdow are tagged in. Ziggler hits a pair of clotheslines before hitting a stinger splash in the corner and a neckbreaker. Mizdow avoids the famouser and goes for a roll up, but Ziggler holds the ropes. Ziggler plants him with a DDT, but Miz breaks up the pinfall. Sheamus tackles The Miz out of the ring. Ziggler dropkicks Mizdow for a near fall. Outside the ring, Sheamus throws Miz into the barricade. Miz quickly comes back with a steel chair to the midsection. The referee didn’t see it from the ring. Ziggler elbows Mizdow in the face and knocks Miz off the apron. Mizdow rolls him up and grabs the tights, but Ziggler kicks out. Ziggler quickly kicks him in the knee and hits the Zig-Zag for the win.


Paige def. Naomi via Submission

The bell rings, and Paige quickly kicks Naomi in the midsection to take her down. Paige applies a chin lock before turning it into a surfboard stretch. How are they already at a rest hold two moves into the match. Naomi powers up and backs her to the corner. Paige runs into a pair of dropkicks. Naomi ducks a clothesline and hits a hurricanrana. Naomi kicks her before hitting a head-scissor DDT. Alicia pulls Paige to the apron. Naomi takes Alicia out with a nice plancha before getting on the apron. Naomi kicks Paige and goes for a slingshot, but Paige kicks her. Paige applies the PTO for the win.

Jimmy and Jey Uso def. Slater Gator
 
Heath Slater starts the match against Jey Uso. They lock up, and Slater powers him to the corner. Jey ducks a punch and chops the chest. Jey then clotheslines him down. Slater sidesteps an avalanche and hits a spinning heel kick. Slater knocks Jimmy Uso off the apron and punches away at Jey. The Bunny hops down to ringside. Titus O’Neil tells Hornswoggle to attack him. The Bunny leapfrogs Hornswoggle twice, the second time seeing Hornswoggle run into the ring post. The Usos take Slater Gator out with stereo superkicks. The Bunny puts Hornswoggle into the ring. The Usos and The Bunny then go to the top rope and hit a trio of splashes on Slater Gator and Hornswoggle for the win.





Cesaro def. R-Truth

Replays are shown of the referee being out of position and costing Cesaro a WWE Intercontinental Championship match even though he had his hand on the bottom rope. JBL talks about how WWE doesn’t have any replay. R-Truth gets in the ring and asks where he is, making fun of his gaffe when he thought he was in Green Bay, Wisconsin a few years ago.

The bell sounds, and Cesaro knees him in the midsection. Cesaro uppercuts him down before talking a little trash. Cesaro kicks him in the head before powering him to the corner. Cesaro knees away at him before punching him down in the corner. Cesaro taunts R-Truth before hitting a deadlift gutwrench suplex for a two count. Cesaro applies a chin lock before putting him in the corner.

R-Truth fights back and sends him to the corner. R-Truth then hits a back body drop. Cesaro avoids a Scissor Kick, but R-Truth quickly follows up with an avalanche. Cesaro surprises him by crotching him on the top rope and hitting the Neutralizer for the win.


John Cena and Dean Ambrose def. Kane and Randy Orton via DQ

We come back from the break to see Ambrose trapped in a chin lock applied by Kane. Ambrose fights up and hits a jawbreaker. Ambrose punches back at him, but he soon runs into a big boot for a near fall. Kane pulls him into his corner before tagging in Orton. Orton viciously stomps away at him before throwing him out of the ring. Kane gets a cheap shot in on him as the referee’s back is turned. Ambrose blocks a shot from Orton on the commentary table. Ambrose wildly punches away at Orton before having a whip into the steel stairs reversed on him. Orton throws him into the ring and picks up a two count. Orton applies a chin lock, but Ambrose soon fights up and head-butts out. Orton sends him to the corner, but he runs into a boot. Ambrose then takes him out with a missile dropkick.

Kane is tagged in, and he stops Ambrose from tagging Cena. Kane uppercuts him to the corner and kicks him. Kane hits a snapmare followed by a low dropkick to the face for a two count. Kane applies a chin lock, but Ambrose bites his hand to get out. Kane backs him to the corner, but Ambrose fights out and knocks Orton off the apron for good measure. Kane punches him into the ropes, but Ambrose rebounds with a big clothesline. The place is going crazy.

Ambrose crawls over to the corner, but Cena gets off the apron and attacks Seth Rollins on the apron. Cena and Rollins fight to the back. That upsets Ambrose, but he’s able to punch Orton, who was tagged in, away. Ambrose takes him out with a running cross-body and some more punches.

Ambrose then knocks Kane off the apron. Orton kicks Ambrose and hits a hanging DDT. Orton drops to the mat and goes for an RKO, but Ambrose rolls him up for a near fall. Ambrose goes for Dirty Deeds, but Orton pushes him into a big boot from Kane. The referee calls for the bell and there is yet another disqualification for a TV main event.
