A video kicks off the show that recaps what happened between Randy Orton and Matt Hardy. Orton attacked Hardy, who was already in a neck brace, and annihilated him with two con-chair-to attacks outside the ring.

The Raw video plays, and we’re brought into the arena to see a big pyrotechnics display. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will be here tonight. We’ll also see Seth Rollins take on Montez Ford, while Murphy will take on Angelo Dawkins. We’ll also see a Women’s Elimination Chamber Contract Signing.

Randy Orton makes his way to the ring to boos from the crowd. Orton takes his time before saying he needs to apologize. He’s definitely not the most sentimental of men, but his emotions have become unbalanced as of late. The crowd boos him. This morning when he arrived to the venue, it had been 15 years since Monday Night Raw had been in Winnipeg. The crowd cheers the return of Raw. Orton says he would’ve been 24 years old. Thanks to the internet, he did some research. On that Raw 15 years ago, he was the Intercontinental Champion and was punched in the face by a certain man (a Y2J chant picks up)… a man who would eventually save him from his self-destructive tendencies. This is a man he would eventually look up to and love like a brother. His name was Adam, but everyone knows him as Edge.

The crowd chants, “We want Edge.” Orton says he won’t be here because of what he did to him almost a month ago. Orton doesn’t expect the people to understand why he did what he did to Edge. What he did is something he’s very sorry for. Orton is truly sorry from the bottom of his heart. The crowd doesn’t believe him.

Kevin Owens’ music hits, and he gets a big reaction from the crowd. The crowd chants Owens’ name. Owens says he has to pause while they chant his name. For the past few months, Owens has been dealing with delusional people like AOP, their little buddy Murphy, and the “Monday Night Moron” Seth Rollins. Owens is putting those issues aside for tonight because he has an issue with Orton. Dealing with delusional people is a specialty of his. Owens heard Orton apologize for what he did to Edge. Owens says he doesn’t think Orton means it. Owens tells him to drop the act and explain himself. Matt Hardy asked to answers and caught a vicious beating. Now Owens is out here to ask.

Orton says Owens doesn’t want to go down that road. Owens says he really does want to go down that road. Owens asys he’s been a WWE fan his entire life. He remembers watching Edge retire. Owens was already on the independent circuit, but he wanted to get to WWE eventually. Watching Edge retire sucked for Edge and him because he dreamed about facing him. Owens was thrilled to see Edge’s face at his comeback in the Royal Rumble. The next night Edge took it all away. Owens asks why Orton did it. Orton says everyone thinks they know him. Owens says he doesn’t know Orton. All he knows is the people are sick of watching them talk. What they want to see is the two of them fight. Owens throws down the microphone. Orton agrees to the fight… but not right this minute. Orton immediately leaves the ring to boos.

Angel Garza w/ Zelina Vega vs. Humberto Carrillo

Carrillo hits the ropes, ducks a clothesline, flips over him, and flips through a hurricanrana. Garza is stunned. Carrillo then dropkicks him out of the ring. Carrillo annihilates Garza with a suicide dive.

WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman appear

WWE Champion Brock Lesnar makes his way to the ring alongside his advocate Paul Heyman. The crowd gives Lesnar a big reception. Lesnar stands in the ring and looks around at the Winnipeg crowd. Heyman says, “Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman, and I am the advocate for YOUR reigning, defending, undisputed WWE Heavyweight Champion of the world, Brock Lesnar!” The crowd is loving this.

For years, people have tried to brand themselves as WWE Superstars and celebrities, but Brock Lesnar doesn’t need a catchphrase. The catchphrase is the fact that since 2002, every single time he wants to he can reign as champion. Donning the tights and lacing the boots to take someone to Suplex City isn’t something that happens every night. It is special. This Thursday, when Brock Lesnar lays waste to Ricochet, the master of the uppercut… imagine the beating Ricochet will get because Brock Lesnar feels he owes him one. When Lesnar steps in the ring at Super ShowDown, by the fact that Lesnar is wrestling it is special. This Thursday is a lot more special because the stakes have never been higher for a Brock Lesnar match. Why? It’s a good question for Canadians. Heyman says, “Thou shalt not boo thy advocate!” If Ricochet pulls off the miracle of miracles and emerges victorious over Lesnar and becomes the WWE Champion to main event WrestleMania against Drew McIntyre, that means the consequences are groundbreaking. If his aunt had balls, she’d be his uncle. She doesn’t, so she’s not. “If” can go out the window because Lesnar is taking out Ricochet to go to WrestleMania.

Heyman has only been wrong on one spoiler in seven years. This is not a prediction. It’s a spoiler. Lesnar is taking McIntyre to Suplex City and defeating him once and for all. They’ll all realize then, now, and forever their reigning, defending, undisputed WWE Heavyweight Champion of the world, Brock Lesnar. Lesnar holds up the WWE Championship, and they leave the ring. Lesnar walks over to the commentary table, and the commentators scatter. Lesnar stands on the table and poses with the belt.

Erick Rowan vs. Aleister Black

Aleister Black is really in a lot of pain following the attack by The O.C. Black punches Rowan a few times before Rowan pushes him back and hits a clothesline. NXT TakeOver Portland 2020 Predictions

Here are my predictions for the first stand alone NXT ppv

NXT Championtitel Match - Adam Cole (c) vs. Tommaso Ciampa
-> Cole has been on a tear since winning the belt and his showdown with Ciampa should be a war. But I’ve got the man who never lost his belt bringing “Goldie” back home. Going with Undisputed Era to lose all their belts in one night. Ciampa wins the title

NXT Women’s Championtitel Match - Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Bianca Belair
-> I adore both these women and I’m very here for Ripley vs. Flair at WrestleMania, but I would love to see Belair make everyone regret overlooking her and this match, win the title, and go on to defend it against the woman who doesn’t even go here. I’ll predict that Ripley retains though.

NXT Tag Team Championtitel Match - The Undisputed ERA (c) vs. Matt Riddle & Pete Dunne
-> It seems like the options here are that the Broserweights either win the titles and help bring UE’s reign over NXT to an end or the Broserweights lose and start feuding with each other. Their act is going so well and it seems like the titles are due to come off UE, so I’ll predict Dunne and Riddle win the titles and their breakup feud headlines TakeOver: Boston.

NXT North American Championtitel Match - Keith Lee (c) vs. Dominik Dijakovic
-> After Lee’s impressive showing in recent months, it’s hard to imagine he drops the belt here. Going with Lee, and expecting another instant classic. Keith Lee retains

Street Fight - Tegan Nox vs. Dakota Kai
-> Their showdown on NXT a few weeks ago left much to be desired. I’d imagine when Kai and Nox brawl with no rules, we’ll get the level of violence expected as retribution from Kai’s heel turn from WarGames. After Nox picked up the win on television, I’ve got Kai taking this one. Dakota Kai will win this one.

Johnny Gargano vs. Finn Bálor
-> After a lengthy rivalry, I’ve got Bálor rolling right on through Gargano as he builds as one of the ultimate villains of NXT. Finn Balor wins (maybe a No contest)

WWE Raw Results
(c) by WWE

The Raw video plays, and we go live into the arena to see a big pyrotechnics display. Becky Lynch will defend the Raw Women’s Championship against Asuka later tonight. Drew McIntyre will also be a guest on The VIP Lounge hosted by MVP. Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, and The Viking Raiders will also face Seth Rollins, Murphy, and AOP.

Raw Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins and Murphy are in the ring with AOP. Rollins welcomes the crowd to Monday Night Raw. Rollins is proud to stand here as the Monday Night Messiah. At first this name they gave him he wasn’t so sure of, but it’s grown on him. Rollins has come to realize how difficult it is for the crowd to speak from their hearts and make difficult decisions. Rollins is here to speak truths and make the tough decisions. Rollins is here to lead them into the future.

Before he can take them into the future, he has to talk about when his disciples AOP and Murphy took on Owens and the Viking Raiders last week. Rezar won the elimination match over Owens. Rollins says Owens and the Raiders interfered later in the night to cost him a shot at Brock Lesnar and the WWE Championship. Forgiveness is a virtue, but his patience is growing very thin when it comes to Kevin Owens and his friends. Rollins says they aren’t here to preach a message of divisiveness. They’re preaching a message of unity and oneness. They’re not leaving until that message is heard.

Kevin Owens’ music interrupts Rollins. Rollins warns Owens to not get in over his head. Samoa Joe got in over his head, as did the Viking Raiders, and look what happened to them. Rollins says he is the universe’s Monday Night Messiah. If Owens want to be a martyr, that’s fine. If he stands alone, he will fall alone. Owens says every week Rollins runs his mouth and sounds stupid as hell. Now he looks stupid. Owens will just keep fighting because he is not alone. The Viking Raiders join him at his side. Rollins says the problem for Owens isn’t finding partners… it’s keeping them upright. Owens tries to push and shove the Viking Raiders down, but they don’t budge. Owens says they’re fine and they’re ready to go. Owens and the Viking Raiders march down to the ring, and they’re cut off by AOP and Murphy. They brawl at ringside while Rollins shouts from the ring. Samoa Joe all of a sudden comes up behind Rollins and applies the Coquina Clutch. AOP and Murphy break it up, but they’re soon sent from the ring by Owens, Joe, and the Raiders. Murphy is hit with a Stunner by Owens to end it.

Winner by Pinfall: Ricochet

Randy Orton comes out and walks around for a bit. Orton says he still owes everyone an explanation. What he did to Edge hurt him more than it did Edge.

Matt Hardy’s music hits, and he comes out to the ring. Hardy says everyone wants to know why Orton did it. Hardy knows what Orton is thinking right now. Why does Matt give a damn about Edge? Everyone knows the history with Hardy and Edge, it’s no secret. A “Lita” chant picks up. Hardy says there was one point in time when no one on Planet Earth hated Edge more than him. Before that, they were best friends for years. The Hardy Boyz and Edge and Christian would stay in the same hotel room just to save a few bucks. They were young, hungry kids trying to live their dreams. At No Mercy in 1999, they revolutionized the Ladder Match. A “TLC” chant picks up. Hardy says they invented the TLC match. The TLC match became so iconic, it will be a staple of WWE forever. Those young kids that had big dreams went to WrestleMania and stole the show on more than one occasion. They didn’t do it alone. They did it together. That means something.

When he saw that Edge was forced to retire due to injury, any hate or disdain he had was gone. In so many ways, Hardy and Edge are similar. They love performing for the WWE Universe. Hardy couldn’t imagine if this was taken from him before he was ready. After Edge retired and they were cool, Edge would call Hardy and ask, “What if…” Nine years later after he retired due to injury, Edge made the most miraculous return ever. Orton took that away. Orton puts his head down. Hardy asks what in the hell is wrong with Orton. Orton goes for an RKO, but Hardy pushes him off and attacks. Orton shoves him off and hits an RKO. Orton goes outside and grabs two chairs. Orton then gives Hardy a one man con-chair-to. Orton looks down at the destruction before walking off.
