WWE Clash Of Champions 2017 Results

(c) WWE

Kickoff Match: Mojo Rawley defeated Zack Ryder. Rawley won the match with a running elbow to the head.

1. Triple Threat Match for the United States Championship: Dolph Ziggler defeated Baron Corbin (c) and Bobby Roode. Ziggler connected with a Zig Zag on Corbin while Corbin was executing End of Days on Roode to win the match and the United States Championship.

2. Fatal Four-way for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship: The Usos (c) defeated Aiden English and Rusev, Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin, and The New Day. The Usos pinned Chad Gable with a top rope splash to win the match and retain the Tag Team Championship.

3. Lumberjack Match for the Smackdown Women’s Championship: Charlotte Flair (c) defeated Natalya. The lumberjacks brawled and even got into the ring at one point, but Charlotte was able to tap out Natalya to the Figure-Eight. After the match, Natalya cried and said she was “turning her back” on the WWE Universe.

4. The Bludgeon Brothers defeated Breezango. The Bludgeon Brothers won a one-sided squash with their double-team crucifix slam on Fandango.

5. Career-threatening Match with Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan as Special Guest Referees: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeated Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton. Orton had Zayn pinned with an RKO and Shane was making the count, but Owens shoved Bryan into Shane to stop it. Later, Zayn had Orton pinned with a roll-up, but Shane stopped at two and refused to count the three. Bryan and McMahon argued, so when Zayn rolled up Orton again, Bryan counted a fast three.

6. WWE Championship Match: AJ Styles (c) defeated Jinder Mahal. Styles kicked out of a Khallas, so Mahal went for a Styles Clash. Styles countered that into the Calf Crusher and won the match by submission to retain the championship.

WWE Clash of Champions 2017 predictions

Here are my predictions for tonights WWE ppv Clash of Champions:

* WWE Championship Match: Champion AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal
-> Given all the circumstances, this should be the easiest call to make as far as predictions go, with The Phenomenal One a clear and decisive victor. Styles retain

* WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship Lumberjack Match: Champion Charlotte vs. Natalya
-> Natalya is old news and will be disposed of in favor of Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan, who will likely get the best out of Naomi, Lana, Tamina and Carmella on the outside while Flair makes The Queen of Harts submit. Charlotte retains

* WWE U.S. Championship Match: Champion Baron Corbin vs. Bobby Rodde vs. Dolph Ziggler
-> Since this has primarily revolved around Roode and Corbin trading shots with each other, with little focus on Ziggler, it raises suspicions that The Showoff is only included here to take the fall. Baron Corbin retains

* WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match: Champions The Usos vs. The New Day vs. Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable vs. Rusev & Aiden English
-> hard to tell but its a) the Usos retaining or b) The New Day taking back the titles for yet another reign.

* Owens and Zayn’s Careers on the Line: Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens vs. Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura (Special Referees: Shane McMahon & Daniel Bryan)
-> Orton sucks, so Owens and Zayn will win with the help of Daniel Bryan

* The Bludgeon Brothers vs. Breezango
-> There is no way The Fashion Police win this match, even with the surge in popularity Tyler Breeze and Fandango have received since adopting this gimmick last year. Bludgeon Bros wins

* Kickoff Show Match: Zack Ryder vs. Mojo Rawley
->  Zack Ryder should be looking for revenge after his teammate turned on him, while Rawley will be seeking to prove he was right in saying Long Island Iced Z kept him down.
Once they lock horns, the truth of the matter will be discovered. And it needs to end by demonstrating Rawley was justified. Mojo wins
