Becky Lynch vs. Summer Rae never happened. Natalya was on commentary, so Lynch left the ring and attacked her.

– Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were guests on Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel. They argued, agreed to a match at Battleground, then double super-kicked Jericho.

5. Intercontinental Championship Match: Kane defeated The Miz (c). This match was made earlier in the night by Corporate Kane as a means to make Miz defend his title. Maryse faked an injury during the match, so Miz helped her to the back, getting intentionally counted-out.

(c) WWE

Cesaro def. Alberto Del Rio
Alberto Del Rio, who blamed Cesaro for costing him a chance to win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, delivered a spirited attack against The Swiss Superman in a SmackDown showdown between the competitors.
Unfortunately for The Essence of Excellence, in the height of the action, The King of Swing countered his attempt to lock in the Cross Armbreaker and nailed the Neutralizer for the victory.

Sheamus def. Apollo Crews by Count-out
Apollo Crews and Sheamus picked up where they left off at WWE Money in the Bank, when the electric Crews earned his first pay-per-view win over The Celtic Warrior in a heated battle.
This time, however, the rough and tough Irishman got the better of his up-and-coming rival when he Brogue Kicked Crews straight into the steel steps on the outside, resulting in a count-out victory for the former WWE Champion.

AJ Styles def. Jimmy Uso
After The Usos confronted The Club backstage earlier in the evening and questioned whether AJ Styles could win a match without the help of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, Jimmy Uso got a singles showdown against The Phenomenal One.
Just when it seemed like the Samoan Superstar had a potential pinfall victory, however, Gallows and Anderson just couldn’t help themselves and Styles’ cohorts attacked Jimmy’s brother at ringside. The match quickly devolved into chaos as Jimmy soared over the top rope to take out Styles’ disruptive allies.
Styles soon followed, flying over the top rope himself, leveling his opponent with an elbow on the outside. The sensational Superstar then finished the job by hitting a Phenomenal Forearm back in the ring for the victory.

The New Day’s Big E & Kofi Kingston def. The Vaudevillains
The Vaudevillains brought an old-school onslaught to WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day, but could not defeat Big E & Kofi Kingston, who finished their foes via a Midnight Hour to Simon Gotch.
The positive trio’s victory celebration was cut short, though, as The Wyatt Family appeared on the TitanTron. As Bray Wyatt condemned the titleholders’ decision to interrupt the Wyatt’s return on Raw, The New Day — especially Xavier Woods — appeared to be visibly shaken by The New Face of Fear’s proclamation … “New Day falls.”

Dana Brooke def. Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch came out on fire against Dana Brooke, perhaps channeling some of her anger stemming from Natalya’s vicious betrayal. The Irish Lass Kicker even knocked WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte from the ring apron after she tried to distract the red-hot Superstar. Unfortunately, the champion’s distraction allowed Dana to roll up Becky and pick up the win.
The devious duo’s post-match attack on Becky once again sparked Sasha Banks to saunter out and ultimately send the titleholder scrambling from the ring. Dana attempted to blindside The Boss, but ended up paying for her decision as she got caught in the Bank Statement.

Seth Rollins def. Sami Zayn
WWE Champion Dean Ambrose joined the SmackDown announce team as he watched one of his two WWE Battleground challengers, Seth Rollins, battle Sami Zayn in an explosive main event showdown.
The Underdog from the Underground’s daredevil style pushed an embattled Rollins to the limit, but The Architect ultimately prevailed after pouncing on his opponent with an emphatic Pedigree for the victory.
After the contest, a heated Rollins got into The Lunatic Fringe’s face before unleashing sneak attack with a series of strikes. The unstable Ambrose responded with a frenzied assault before nearly hitting Dirty Deeds on Rollins, who frantically escaped.

3. Fatal Four-way for the Tag Team Championship: The New Day (c) defeated The Vaudevillains, Enzo Amore and Big Cass, and The Club. The Club hit a Magic Killer on Aiden English. New Day then hit Karl Anderson with the Midnight Hour and pinned English. 8,5 of 10 points for an awesome opener!!!!

4. Baron Corbin defeated Dolph Ziggler. Corbin pinned Ziggler after End of Days. - lame match, nobody needed a 20th match with both wrestlers. 5 of 10 points.

5. Charlotte and Dana Brooke defeated Natalya and Becky Lynch. Charlotte pinned Natalya after Natural Selection. After the match, Natalya turned on Becky Lynch. - sad thing - Sasha did not return. A heel turn of Natty. 6 of 10 points.

6. Apollo Crews defeated Sheamus. Sheamus hit White Noise from the second rope, but only got two. While he was complaining to the referee, Crews surprised him with a crucifix pin. - good match ans still more to come. 7 of 10 points.

7. AJ Styles defeated John Cena. The referee got knocked out during an AA attempt from Cena. Cena had the match won, but The Club showed up, hit a Magic Killer and pulled Styles onto Cena. - awesome match even with Cena. AJ got the win, feud will end up in a steel cage at SummerSlam. 9 of 10 points.

8. Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Dean Ambrose defeated Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Sami Zayn, Cesaro and Alberto Del Rio. - No surprise here but still a very good match. 8 of 10 points.

9. United States Championship Match: Rusev (c) defeated Titus O’Neil. Rusev won by submission with The Accolade. After the match, Rusev got in O’Neil’s children’s faces at ringside and told them their dad was a loser. - boring match not worth the ppv time. 2 of 10 points.

10. WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Seth Rollins defeated Roman Reigns (c). Reigns went for a spear, but Rollins countered with a Pedigree for a close nearfall. Rollins hit another Pedigree to pin Reigns and win back the WWE World Heavyweight Championship he never lost. After the match, Dean Ambrose ambushed Rollins and cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase. - Reigns can wrestle and is still NOT the guy. Rollins won the match and the title for 9 of 10 points.

11. WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Dean Ambrose defeated Seth Rollins (c). Ambrose quickly hit Dirty Deeds and pinned Rollins to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. - all 3 SHIELD members were WWE WORLD champion in the same night - Dean cashes in was a good idea - 8 of 10 points for that. Maybe a Triple Threat match ahead at SummerSlam.

WWE Money In The Bank 2016 Predictions

Here are my predictions for tonights ppv:

Sheamus vs. Apollo Crews
Prediction: Sheamus will win this one.

Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler
Prediction: of course Corbin will win this feud and is off to another opponent.

United States Championship Match: Rusev (c) vs. Titus O’Neil
Prediction: Rusev will destroy Titus as Vince´s payback for Titus failure some months ago.

AJ Styles vs. John Cena
Prediction: Cena always win his matches. This one is his return match and sadly he will wins this again. But this feud is far from over.

Charlotte and Dana Brooke vs. Becky Lynch and Natalya
Prediction: this match is just a fill in to get Charlotte over the 300 days mark as a champion to set a new record after AJ and the Bellas as Womans Champ. Charlotte and Dana will win this one and we will see SASHA return for sure.

Fatal Four-way for the Tag Team Championship: The New Day (c) vs. The Club vs. Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs. The Vaudevillains
Prediction: this one is the hardest match to predict. As the champs hit the 300 days makr already its time to lose the title. The Club should be the obviously pick but I put my money on the Vaudevillains.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Sami Zayn vs. Cesaro
Prediction: Why is nobody talking about the mystery 7th participant in the MITB match? Who could it be? The Miz? Randy Orton? Or Bray Wyatt? Maybe Eric Young or Bobby Roode? Everybody is picking Dean Ambrose. But I put my money on Cesaro.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins
Prediction: Reigns will win this one.

Running Double Knees by Almas in the corner for the win.
Winner: Andrade “Cien” Almas by pinfall (Running Corner Double Knees)

Fun debut for the former La Sombra in Andrade Almas, although it appeared that there were a lot of Dillinger supporters in the crowd as they were split during the match. Almas still did enough flashy offense that they wound up taking to him towards the end. Dillinger looked very good in defeat as he is great in his gatekeeper role for the new debuting talent in NXT and is one of the most underrated performers in not just NXT, but WWE main roster as well. Good start to the show.

American Alpha help each other up, until the debuting Authors of Pain tag-team, who have been on NXT house shows in recent months, run in and lay out American Alpha. WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering makes his way out onto the rampway, looking on approvingly as the crowd chants “Who are you?” at the Authors of Pain
Just another outstanding tag match between these two teams. Tag-team wrestling at its finest. The quick change back to the Revival possibly looks to spell the end for American Alpha in NXT, with a possible main roster call-up looming. Post-match with the debut of the Authors of Pain team, who had been impressive on NXT house shows as of late, with the inclusion of the legendary Paul Ellering as their manager in laying out American Alpha, was a big-time surprise, can’t wait to see what develops going forward.

BOMA-YE!! 1-2-3! WOW!
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura by pinfall (Boma-Ye)

Very good match between two top performers. This was the Austin Aries I was waiting to see since he came into NXT as up until tonight, his performances felt very flat to me. Its clear as day that Aries is better suited as a heel, which is why this came off so much better here than if it was a straight babyface vs. babyface match. Nakamura is just superb, what else is there to say about him. Great stuff.

Outstanding dynamic in this match that came together better than anyone could have ever hoped. This was Nia Jax’s best performance to date in NXT as for the first time, her presence matched her work in the ring, which had taken a while to come together. Tonight it did and she churned out a great performance. Asuka worked great from underneath and had to literally knock Nia out to beat her as she couldn’t submit her. Superb match.

SUPER MUSCLE BUSTER!!! 1-2-3! WOW!
Winner and STILL NXT Champion: Samoa Joe by pinfall (Super Muscle Buster)

Very good main event. They made the cage an important part of the match, especially as it led to the finish with Joe retaining. It appears Balor is main-roster bound, especially because of the tagline of this show, but time will tell.
Overall, another damn good TakeOver show in front of a hot Full Sail crowd, highly recommend it.
